"Last night was Paul Wellstone's legacy, and it put the progressive liberalism of the Democrat party into clear focus, and the people are repulsed"

That was such a great statement, it bears repeating!

I'm not surprised the "memorial" did little to sway many Dems opinion of their party. Why would it? If they could stand by a President getting hummers in the Oval Office and lying about it under oath, last night was no big deal.

What I'm salivating over are Independents. As a Minnesotan, I can tell you -- the Independents up here truly are independent. They're Jesse Ventura, take-no-crap kind of people. What they saw last night disgusted them. And it would be just like them to flip the Dems one giant, collective bird by pulling the lever for Coleman once they step inside the voting booth.

Yeah, I gotta say, I've been mightily impressed with what the networks have done with this story. It's been at or near the top of most broadcasts. And there hasn't been much equivocating going on. They're calling the memorial service what it really was -- a rally for leftists.

Why don't you check with "Registered" - he's good at doing that sort of stuff.

Smiling Bill... just like after Commerce secretary Ron Brown's service (remember how happy Klintoon was until an unexpected camera wiped that $hit-eating grin off his face?

Guess Billy-boy gets a kick out of other's death & missery.

"Seminar callers" is what Rush calls them. They have the same talking point, and they call all the talk shows and spout their stuff. They pay these people to make these calls. It's one of the big differences. The repubs trust us to be active and do the calling on our own. The dems don't trust their people to do what they want (because it's ususally in bad taste), so they have to PAY people to do it.

I've seen several articles on FR stating that the major media is all over this story - and it's all negative.

"they're so dimented, they didn't even realize what they were doing"

There is no way they didn't know what they were doing. They planned this event and they staged it as a rally - to get the dems out to vote because they are losing BADLY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

Either Sean or Rush said that if the dems lose this election, McAwful is GONE!! This type of crass event has his fingerprints all over it.

You mentioned that the national media didn't even mention this, but today Pat Buchanan was all over it, he kept bringing it up all day & made a huge deal of it & really cut clinton & mondale down big time. hopefully, that will help.

And the Wellstone Son standing on Dad's grave leading the cheers had all the humanity of a NATZI get together to remember the good old days at the gas chamber.

Precisely. I was listening to sound bytes and it was indistinguishable in tone and attitude from a NSDAP rally in Munich in 1933.

They have no shame.

What the Democrats did was politically stupid. It may just energize Republican voters across the country enough to give the GOP back the Senate. If any one deserves thanks for making it happen, its Bubba and Terry McAwful!

To the point and on the money:

What I saw of that Nuremberg Rally in Minnesota felt like nothing so much as the cast of THE WEST WING shaking their Emmys in each other's faces. The liberals are so deep into their own bubble of delusion that they forgot that you have to win the election before you celebrate.

Hard to believe anyone can "cheapen" death, but that's what the democrats did...

The death of Welstone is now the democrat party talking point. Every slimy one of them is doing the "win for welstone" shuffle.
