Republicans decry service as partisan [LOTT WALKED OUT!!]

Though it was billed as a memorial service, many irate viewers and Republican leaders said the gathering for U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone and five others degenerated at times into a blatant political rally.

"What a complete, total, absolute sham," said Vin Weber, a former U.S. representative from Minnesota. "The DFL clearly intends to exploit Wellstone's memory totally, completely and shamelessly for political gain. To them, Wellstone's death, apparently, was just another campaign event."

Must have been bad indeed, for the wimpy Lott to walk out!

This is only the latest in a string of events that has motivated me to vote on Tuesday.

For the record, I am not a Republican, have grown to dislike the Republican party, and am afraid that there is so much voter fraud today that we have lost our franchise, and I was going to stay home next week. But the Democratic Party has pi**** me off! All my memories of the Clinton years, and his deadly reign in AR, are coming back to me. I will be going to the polls Tuesday to vote for every Republican on the ballot. I urge all other Constitutionalists, and all Liberterians, all disillusioned Republicans, and all self-respecting, rank-and-file Democrats to do the same. The only Republican candidates who should not receive our votes on Tuesday are those who are obvious traitors who consistently work for the evil agenda of the Democratic Party, or those you know to be corrupt.

The fact that Mondale could be leading in the polls in MN tells me all I need to know about the population of that state. The cold is not the only thing that would keep me from moving there. Lake Wobegon is pretty accurate, seems to me.

I think most of us here at FR would agree on one thing: The Democratic Party has become, all things being equal, the most evil institution in our country, when you take into consideration power, hypocrisy, and impact on our society.

May God grant the demise of that group of jackals! If it seems that its personal with me, it is!

"NJ and MO are close races and now the dems have to take Mondale out of mothballs to hold on to Minnesota!"

What is incredible to me is that the PARTY OF THE PEOPLE could only find 2 old white dinosaurs to take the ballot. If this is the future of the Rat party they are indeed doomed.

What must these women be thinking?
I would expect them to be more sensitive and aghast at what this degenerated to (with notable exceptions like ole crusty).

I just don't get it...even if they do vote for RATs I would expect more.

Why, why, why??

I did not mean to imply in my last post that all Minnesotans are brain-dead liberals. Only that there are too many of them there.

"I would suggest that it's Hillary Clinton, James Carville, Bob Shrum, et al with their fingerprints all over this. Bill Clinton is too busy screwing whatever is standing nearby to do too much behind the scenes."

I can personally attest to the fact that Shrum wrote the eulogy that Harkin delivered. I was within ten feet of him when he did it on Monday afternoon on the Acela Express from Boston to Newark. I also heard him talking to Clinton, but it wasn't about Wellstone...it was about other campaigns. I also believe that Shrum is two-faced with Clinton. Respectful to him, but dismissive to others about him.

(Kahn) urged the crowd to "stand up for all the people he fought for . . . for working men and women...

Kahn showed his true colors there, and the colors of the Democratic Party. "Working men and women." Those that have certain jobs are not "working" people. It's a class thing. It's Bolshevism, and Nazism. It's serious, folks! This is a dangerous and evil mentality. It's even more dangerous and evil if they're just being hypocrites and demogogues.

...it amounted to a more than three-hour-long free televised campaign ad...

Perfect analogy!

Something to think about, i just finished a 10,000 mile relief convoy through a good part of the south. One of my main concerns was that the country is now more divided between conservative vs liberal thought than the North and the South were prior to the civil war. We need to get the liberals educated in reality.....nobody could could be that stupid without brainwashing in the liberal schools.

A couple observances:

1) It's debatable as to when you salute indoors but:

2) You should not salute when wearing civilian clothes unless you are the Commander in Chief.

3) Imagine the next time a Democrat falls out of the sky and the new campaign finance laws are in place. Last nights rally would be clearly seen as as a televised, partisan rally (commercial) held within a week of election day. What then? Take the party to court? Argue as to whether this could be considered a commercial or a memorial? Give equal time back to the opponent? There's nothing but trouble ahead for Republicans regarding the CFR laws and the RATS will take full advantage of it. Last night was the perfect example of that.

You may have just doomed Shrum to die of arkancide. He should stay off planes now that you've let the cat out of the bag.

How can you say that? Thanks to BJ Bill, Jimmy Crapper's administration has faded back to second worst.

For we who lived through the pus-filled Cahtah years, the so-called "Nobel laureate" Jimmah S Cahtah still holds the title as the absolute worst administration of all time.

Except, of course, for the recent administration of Sick Willie (BJ Bill) Clintoon.
