That is incorrect. Plus, you spelled "cremated" wrong. :) Here is a link. The International Burial Society? Boy, those must be fun conventions.

"Can't we just pause until the election is over in memory of the late Senator? "

Hatch and Kiffmeyer said that the law requires absentee ballots to be mailed "promptly" to applicants and that any delays could disenfranchise voters from making choices in all the offices to be filled in the election next Tuesday. "It would be highly arrogant for a county auditor or us to say, 'Put it off,' " Hatch said. He also said that the DFL could have mitigated the problem by nominating its replacement sooner. "It wasn't the secretary of state who chose Wednesday night," he said.

Hypocricy, thy name is DEMOCRAT! F***ing SUBHUMAN SLIME.The understatement of the year.
Watch AG Hatch (RAT) cave to the national RAT party and turn on Kiffmeyer. She will soon get the full double barreled "Katherine Harris" character assasination treatment.
To: Timesink
Every election the rats lose will be challenged in court from now on. They will beat us to death with lawsuits until we just quit voting.

OK, OK, I was told over the years that Jews were cremated.... learn something new every day.

Well, as much as I hate dems, I do think Wellstones ballots ought to be sent back and people can request another if there is proof they voted for wellstone. However, it is soooo insensitive during our ten year mourning.
To: mlo
There is no confusion, they just don't like the law. Yes, death is a bitch.
Does anyone know the Minnesota courts? Are they a bunch of kangaroos like Florida or, worse, blatantly corrupt like New Jersey?

She will soon get the full double barreled "Katherine Harris" character assasination treatment. They can try, but it will backfire bigtime. Mary Kiffmeyer is one of the most respected people in MN politics. Her looks won't hurt her either. (Not trying to be sexist, just realistic in our media saturated culture.)

These voters can make an affirmative decision to go get another ballot and change their vote. There is no obligation by the state to spoon-feed adults regarding their civic duty.

But they get no complaints from their customers.

However, it is soooo insensitive during our ten year mourning.LOL, is ten years enough?
I wonder why Hatch would back up saying tough sh_t to the absentees already voting for Wellstone. Maybe he is suckering Kiffmeyer to take a big fall. Dunno, but this should be interesting.
To: cajungirl
That is illegal. They should be allowed to cast a ballot in person. This is allowed. THey also can write in Mondale's name if they have not turned in their absentee ballot yet.
Quite frankly, the Dems have no case.

Ever notice that when ever a jewish person dies some group or family and friends have a tree planted in Israel? My father in law has one. My question is this... where are they planting them? Every time I see news footage of Israel I never see any trees! Is there a secret "Tree Farm" where they plant all these memorial trees?

They can try, but it will backfire bigtime. Mary Kiffmeyer is one of the most respected people in MN politicsGlad to hear it. Thanks for the local knowledge.
IMHO, the RATS stepped on their gebhardts when they went after K. Harris, and like you say, it will backfire here as well.

I do think Wellstones ballots ought to be sent back and people can request another if there is proof they voted for wellstone. I disagree with you, but further on your point, how will they prove which ballot is theirs? And when I say prove, I mean PROVE. Not "i am a registered dem and i certainly voted for Wellstone."
To: mlo
I question if the DFL actually intends to win in court on this. Rather, I think they are trying to create an emotional and confusing issue to try and stir outrage or a sense of injustice to motivate their turnout and portray themselves to independents as victims. The outcome of many elections next week will turn on the female vote.
To: cajungirl
And further. If those who have already voted absentee are allowed to revote, who is to stop the Coleman voters from voting twice? Or those that voted absentee for a 3rd party candidate (if there is one) from voting for Mondull? Or from people just voting multiple times under various scenarios?
To: Timesink
The International Burial Society? Boy, those must be fun conventions. Yeah, everyone's dying to go to them. Actually, all they do is sit around and watch reruns of "Six Feet Under." It makes a Star Trek convention look like Mardi Gras in Rio.
