I guess Newsweak is trying to get some credibility by fudging their polls away from their usual leftist bias, here in the final week to elections.

Anyone see ... Trent Lott's plane had problem with the landing gear not coming down. Three Republican senators on board. Has landed safely.

It mattered a lot in 1994. The "generic" House of Representative polls were the only national indicators of the 'Crap carnage.

Quite right. Prior to the Lautenberg entry and Wellsone's death and Hutchinson's implosion, I thought we had a better than even chance to take the Senate back....now it doesn't look so good.
Additionally, Pubbies don't seem to be so broken glassed as in 2000 either.
Just my instincts. I would agree with Rush yesterday though that the Dems are running on old dogs strictly.

Two Senators. Reports that Santorum was on board were incorrect.

"Just my instincts. I would agree with Rush yesterday though that the Dems are running on old dogs strictly." L N Smithee joked yesterday that the Dems would soon be touting Noble-Prize-winning Jimmy Carter as their Presidential candidate in 2004, just to keep up with the Lautenberg/Mondale fad...

Given the relatively large sampling errors, the results tell us very little. It's a toss-up.

IT'S 7 DAYS UNTIL THE ELECTION. WILL IT STILL BE HER SENATE?

Random sampling errors wouldn't usually reveal a straightline trend. Check the data from mid-September to today...

Look at the confidence intervals . . . They overlap all the way from August right through the latest poll. We'll get the most accurate results on 11/5, IF democrat voter fraud can be kept to a minimum.

Um, are the first two lines -likely- voters or registered voters? The last three are obviously registered voters. I assume the Republicans are better off in "likely" than in "registered".
