EVANSVILLE, Indiana, Oct 28, 2002 (AP WorldStream via COMTEX) -- A French woman who became angry while being scanned with a hand-held metal detector at the Evansville Regional Airport was arrested Monday after she removed her shirt and bra in the terminal, police said.
Eliane Yvonne Marcelle Aguillaume, 56, of Paris was charged with disorderly conduct in an airport, resisting arrest and indecent exposure.
Aguillaume became angry when a female airport screener started to scan the area of her bra, police said.
Aguillaume kept reaching inside her sweater, so the scanner had to search the area again. Aguillaume then took off her sweater, shirt and bra, police said.
As Indiana State Trooper Stu Sanders reported that as he attempted to handcuff her, she kept pulling away, and later dropped to the ground and refused to get up.
Aguillaume was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail and later released after posting $5,300 bond.
Both gates at the airport were shut down for about 10 minutes while Aguillaume was arrested and escorted from the airport.

I don't think she was anyone's profile of a terrorist suspect. A white, middle-aged Frenchwoman? Hrrrumph! I'd get mad too if the TSA yahoos kept searching my private parts repeatedly without any idea of what they were doing. Indecent exposure at airport indeed. Sometimes I think "up yours" is a perfectly justified call in the face of wanton bureaucratic stupidity.

"and later dropped to the ground and refused to get up"Should have kept the bra on.

Nudity should be an option available to any disgruntled passenger going through our airport security. Any weapon would become readily visible. The perfect scan.

I don't think she was anyone's profile of a terrorist suspect. No, but she was French.

While she seems to have more spunk than the men over there, I'm glad I wasn't at the airport for her "unveiling". LOL

Vive, Mme. Aguillaume. You obviously flunked Surrender 101 while going to school in La Belle France!
Have another glass of wine!

What lil'creatures reside in granny's arm-pit jungle. Box cutters, cheese grater... everything that a french lady needs except an air freshener.
