The chase was interrupted by a large blue car that Muhammed ran into, putting both hands on the hood to prevent him coliding with it. After this moment, both men being chase escaped. Later--still in September, Montgomery police put out a public call for the driver of the blue car to come forward; fingerprints on the car could be used to break the case. However, and a little surprisingly, no one came forward.
