Maybe Moose and I can get something going on up here in the People's Republic of Austin for you guys to attend. I am there! I am all for expanded relations between Houston FReepers and
Austin FReepers! And now that I am done reading and working, here's some pix:
![]( http://saturn.he.net/~danger/freepnet/scripts/pictures/RikaChika.JPG)
Rika is fearsome..
![](http://saturn.he.net/~danger/freepnet/scripts/pictures/Group.jpg)
Everyone looks happy..
![]( http://saturn.he.net/~danger/freepnet/scripts/pictures/Flyersmile.JPG)
Flyer looks happy.. could it be... gun toting FReepers???

One old Pro, Ladies & Gents...
And on another note, the chow was outstanding.. no complaints from
me, and I complain about everything. It was an event to remember!
To: COB1
Wouldn't it be great to have a once a year shoot-out event with freepers from all over the United States??! I'd travel for that.
To: humblegunner
That's great - MORE PICS! ;-)
Thanks - that cigarette lighter sized camera really does good work. Give your mom a big smooch from the freepers.

I shot that match with the same rifle you fired yesterday and, happily, ALL my shots went inside the 6" 10 rings of the targets That is one sweet piece of ordnance.

I'll have one similar to yours at the next shoot..
I'll see what Dad is willing to part with! ;-)
To: humblegunner
I'll have one similar to yours at the next shoot.Good deal! A little competetion perhaps?
May have to move on down to the OTHER end of the range than the one we were at. You know the end where the targets are WAY out there!

I was wondering if the cluster of folks in the short distance rifle range were y'all. The firearms in the photos look familiar. We brought my AR-10T with the highpower NightForce scope, the Desert Eagle .50 and a pair of custom .45s (Kimber and Colt) but with that illogical $3/gun, (and having to clean them aftwerwards) I wasn't gung ho about bringing out the compensated 10mm or the highly tuned GoldCup 10mm.
The .50 was fun! The range geek complained that the muzzle blast was damaging the bench. (I was trying out various handloads and mistakenly started with the beefed up loads)
The facilities are ~huge~! I used to regularly shoot in Dallas at the BulletTrap and my LD work at Gibson's where my target @ 200 only needs to be a postage stamp when I bring out the handmade .300 Win Mags (another NightForce scope on the bull barreled bolt action) I would like to know what distance the longest range was - it looked like quite a hike to change paper.
What decent range around Austin is there? I would go back to Houston if another "Ton of Fun with a Gun" were held - I would like to try my hand at the distance ranges, and my wife is interested in doing some "riot skeet" (shooting clays with an "assault" shotgun)
When is Springfield Break, and what good junk should I bring? The personal arsenal is quite varied and consists of over 50 pieces. (and very well protected, too)
To: Dr Warmoose; humblegunner; Bigun
Sounds like you've got an arsenal, Warmoose!
I'm really sorry we missed connection on the Gloctoberfest.
Let us work out the details on the Spring Breaker, and we'll post it.
With the interest generated in this one, I think we might be able to get a lot of people to the next one.
A little competitive shooting from the 200 yard line sounds like a plan to me!

I'm sorry we missed you. A last minute thought was some signs or flags so anyone that didn't know us could find us, but it didn't get done. I think event t-shirts are in order for the next time.

Although I do have a Cafe Press account, I also have a friend that does sublimation printing. Oh, and she's in Burnet - you could pick them up for us!

I would have never thought that your little pen type camera would take such good pictures.
LOL, thanks for getting that shot.
Ok, I am ready to leave the house now, except I can't get to work, and I am not about to drown my little car.
To: RikaStrom
There is relief in sight - the SUN is out for the first time in what seems like years. Stay dry. ;-)
