Sadly agree-- between the hammer of AIDS, and the anvil of corrupt, despotic leaders, any good in Africa will be crushed.
Given the incompetence to African political leadership (with the exception of a few countries), I wouldn't be surprised that the African continent loses 25-45% of its population by 2050. It would appear that Malthus is right--but then it was human folly that did this, not forces of nature as Malthus surmised.
