Postal plot (more DemocRat shenanigans)
U.S. News- Washington Whispers ^ | 11/04/2002 | Paul Bedard

A Democratic executive of the U.S. Postal Service abruptly quit last Friday amid allegations that she used the federal mail budget to hurt the re-election chances of Arkansas Republican Sen. Tim Hutchinson. Sources allege that Deborah Willhite, the Postal Service's top lobbyist, pushed to have the budget for Arkansas post offices cut–and Hutchinson blamed. The money was to be transferred to Georgia's post offices, allowing supporters there to credit Democratic Sen. Max Cleland, who's in his own tough re-election battle. Senate Republican leader Trent Lott caught wind of the deal making and demanded the resignation of Willhite, an Arkansan who has donated to Hutchinson's opponent and to Cleland. Willhite, however, says "it's all a plot" to discredit her and that she planned to resign anyway. "It spins a good story," she says, "but it's just not the case." Postmaster General John Potter is scouring all recent budget moves for other political hanky-panky.

This will be "overlooked" on sunday political programs. On sunday stephanopolis will simply call it a lone wolf effort and the rest of the dem's useful idiots will follow suit.

The people who need to hear the scum that dems have become are those on the fence. Admitting membership in the democratic party must become as discusting as membership in the communist party.

Wouldn't someone have had to sponsor a bill, or attach a rider or amendment or something to do this bin any case? If so, who was it? I doubt the plot stopped with that sleazeball who just got outta Dodge.

Potter can take a look at Jim Moran's district. There are a couple of situations that bear questioning.

The Democrats are not above anything and they will stop short of nothing. But the bad part is that you have to have a constituency to go along with it to succeed and apparently those who vote Democrat dont give a damn about anything but winning.

The Postal Reorganization Act provides that the USPS operate out of it's own revenues. As a result it is "off budget" and there is no bill, rider or amendment to be considered in Congress that affects the budget.

As one wag once put it, there are entirely too many people in the ranks of Postal top management who are dedicated to the concept of the USPS as a privately operated universal monopoly.

And that's what happened here, and it's not the first time!

With another 11 days, well 10 now, it's going to be interesting to see just how nasty the liberal DemocRATS get...I think they are about to get foam at the mouth rabid and go critical mass.

Watch out folks, you are going to see some people at the worst people can get.
If the Clintons are running the show from behind the scenes, expect character assasinations, people's reputations smeared, dragged through the mud and utterly ruined (most falsely, like Taylor in Montana) by these out-of-control DemocRATS.
By the way, don't rule out murder...(I mean unfortunate accidents or suicide...The Clintons have done it before and they are not above applying it again...
Are there any of you Democrats behind in your race? Watch your back!...Are ther any Republicans ahead in your race? Watch you'rs also!

The "politics of personal (and even physical) destruction" is now in play...Bill & Hill don't mess around, nor dose their buddy Terry!

All USPS top level executives, mid-level managers, and all workers, at all levels, are prohibited from using political endorsements.

As a result, all of the top level executives, and almost all of the mid-level managers, are Democrats!

Republicans tend to obey the law, and after more than 25 years of operation, you have ended up with the very best postal service the Democratic Party will allow you to have.

This sort of thing will not stop until the Republicans begin to think of appointing members to the USPS Board of Governors with a bit more capability than political hacks like Casey.

The evil spirit of Mayor Daley is alive and well in
todays Democrat party. You really don't expect a rat to
abide by the rules, do you?

Guys like Lott have known about this sort of thing for many years. Unfortunately, they are all equally corrupt. The Democrats possess the USPS; the Republicans get Department of Defense, and so forth.

Makes it difficult on the folks who find themselves tagged with the wrong party label in the wrong federal agency.

Who was paying Willhite's salary? If it was Uncle Sam, then were we taxpayers paying someone already on the government payroll to lobby the government? Is that legal? This stuff makes my brain hurt.

I wouldn't say she was "chief lobbyist" - "chief propagandist" is more like it, and not a very good one at that.

If the truth be known, Arkansas is the top corrupted state, neck & neck with NJ. Maybe they need to secede.
