Actually since we are dealing with an Arabic name translated into English and the Latin (Roman) alphabet the following spellings might be equally good for Ussama bin Laden, Ben Laeden, Bin Ladeen, Bin Ladin, Bin Ladian, Been Leeden and several others I have seen at different times over the past years.
However, it must be coincidence. I just wish I believed in coincidence.

There are multiple legitimate ways to translate the guy's name's spelling from the Arabic alphabet to our alphabet. Just like there's multiple ways to spell the name of China's capital (Peking/Peiping/Beijing/whatever)
