I'm from the Chicago area, and I would certainly back the nomination of Indiana!

Indiana voted for both GWH Bush and Bob Dole over Slick Willie, while Illinois went solidly for Slick Willie. And Indiana voted for GW over Gorebertm and Indiana voted for Ford over Carter...Illinois did not. Talk about stupid, I'll take a stupid nickname any day over Illinois's voting record.

You see, she lost credibility with me when she says that she's from the Chicago area:). FWIW, I am a proud Hoosier (not by birth, but was raised there from the time I was a few months old until I got married 7.5 years ago). When I lived there, I sure didn't appreciate it, but I sure miss it now and can't wait to move back there once hubby finishes his engineering degree. Every state has its share of stupidity (some more than others). That being said, I will say that OK is one of the ones with the more (ducking out before I get clobbered by Sooners--j/k).
