FoxNews slams Military: Major Label of Sniper is "Army Vet" NOT "Islamic Sniper"

Uh,oh---a "trained from birth" shooter! I'm truly surprised this link hasn't been made yet. I mean everybody knows Southerners are born with a shotgun in one hand and a deer(sniper) rifle in the other. Sheeesh! These people call themselves a news channel ; )

Seems to me in Fox's attempts to create a connection of SOME kind to weapons(Army = weapons), they have lost sight of the larger picture: Guns don't kill people; Muslims kill people, or at least some of 'em ; )

The upshot of course is that Fox could make any number of connections to this al Qaeda wannabe but choose to parade out the Army link. Doesn't make sense to me. A shame that Fox is the best we've got. Maybe they're still in training???

Oh BTW, have they mentioned Muhammad is left handed? Now there's a link they should be able to run with!

I don't know. I am trying to find a source on that dis-honorable discharge as well. To be honest with you I don't know whether is was or was not honorably discharged. (even though the type of soldier he was is very clear to me) I would love to know regardless, In the early stages I could have swore the media had said other-than-honorable, or dis-honorable. But I could be wrong. But like I stated before. Whether he was or wasn't doesn't make a difference in the way the media is spinning this guys military service, and bogus "sniper training". The media needs to tell the truth on what is most likely to be his motivating force that got him to the point of popping people off, instead of implying some military link as the most possible motivator.

I'm sure he had shown good marksmanship and weapons knowledge to at least handle the M16. But My husband has obtained expert as well a few times. (it is something you have to requalify for AT LEAST once a year in order to keep). I just wonder why the media doesn't bring that up. Did he receive expert every single time, or just once? What about that tree in his backyard that he used repeatedly for target shooting? There is just so much the media is stretching, and leaving out. The military community has full right to be pissed off at their coverage. P.S. I still out shoot my husband every time we are out on the range, but yet he's received the "expert" award more than a few times. Out of all the medals that are upon soldiers chests this by far isn't anywhere near the most important ones, nor should be considered one.

Of course no one "asked them" to serve, they did so out of love of their country, and to defend everything we hold dear. They understand what integrity, and sacrifice mean. Of course being aligned with a few that do not understand this or uphold the "espirit de corps" (like this scumbag) has all the REAL soldiers who understand this P.O.'d.

Gacey and son of sam were serial killers and sickos, you could label Gacey a 'homosexual clown serial killer' for example but not a 'terrorist'. 'catholic' relevent? there is no catholic teaching that says to drug and bugger young males and kill them, otoh there are Islamic fatwas and extremist Mullahs and Louis Farrakhan spreading hate-the-Christian, Jew, and White man that make the religion part of the REASON for the violence.

... the MO here was different and so was the motive. 'Islamic terrorist' shoe fits, these guys wanted to strike fear. Dateline interviewed a guy who knew John Mohammed from Tacoma YMCA, they wanted to kill cops and strike against the US in some way and Mohammad was glad of what happened on 9/11.

But if we were to sit down & wait for this story to be reported properly; that is, with the who, what, where, when & *whys* all answered & just as it really is? We'd be long dead & buried, still waiting.

AMEN!! Don't recall when I learned this lesson but we must be ever vigilent, critical and analytical about anything we hear from any media source. I, however still often have my head in a dark place and forget my own admonition.

The major issue about this guy is that he's ex-Army??? I think that's terribly nearsighted. I think being ex-Army is NOT the impetus that caused these killings. Therefore, to characterize him as ex-Army gives the IMPRESSION that his "former military" status is what we should be looking at.

Here's the truth.

We have not seen a single overview of his Islamic life. They have not showed us a clip of the mosque he regularly attended. They've not interviewed his Imam. They've not done a rundown on others from his "islamic" region of the country who've also engaged in deadly behavior. They've not run clips of the Louis Farrakhan crowd and the hate speeches that come from them. They've not profiled the million man bodyguards and their backgrounds.

Given that Islamics are killing Americans in our country and around the world and that many branches of that religion consider themselves at war with the U.S. (great satan), I'd say that the IMPORTANT characteristic of J. Mu'Mad is his Islamic connections.
