Typical DU opinion du jour:
The sniper is not ANY minority, he is white.
There can be no doubt in this. Ashcroft says he sees no reason for the FBI to get involved at this point and it's because he knows if they do, the profile of this man will be a white male, military background, 30 to 45. Minorities in this country do not do these kinds of things. Whites do. White males specifically. Most snipers that we have had in this country have been white and I know the cops know that. That's why it's suspcious to me that the first person they target is black. I am not even am FBI profiler but I know that's the correct profile for this case.

Why else would it "...be important..." to him? What else could it possibly mean, unless, the guy is just jerking the Fed's chain (which I doubt)?

You can say the same about the rest of the 150 million islamonazis. Why does Islam make such a good vehicle?

"basically this guy was responding to all the anti american press coming from the left and the Democrats "WHERE did you gather that? It is a stretch and it is miscast blame. Go ahead and blame Farrakhan and his ilk, who deserve it clearly, but I can't stand this ridiculous and simplistic generalization anymore..go ahead, flame away. It only will confirm your own myopia
To: Betty Jane
ABSOLUTELY!
This won't happen though will it Betty? It should, because if Rush could be blamed for OKC, then the media, Rats, and Barbra should take the blame for this!
Of course, this is terrorism plain and simple, and I wonder if that will be the story they tell, or if they cover that up too!

We can't let the media cover this up!

"Every anti-authority figure will gravitate toward the Islamist movement, just as like-minded individuals in the previous generation gravitated toward communism. Evil seeks evil."
It is not a coincidence that so many sociopaths who have "converted" to "Islam" have done so while paying their "debt to society" in correctional institutions.
If true Islam is a legitimate religion, and I believe that it is as far as it goes, the radical fundamentalist offshoot thereof is yet another example of how the Adversary counterfeits light to serve darkness.
Jesus declaration, "By their fruits shall ye know them" serves to expose the terrorists' form of religion for that which it really is.......

Several federal sources said Muhammad and Malvo may have been motivated by anti-American sentiments in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Both were known to speak sympathetically about the men who attacked the United States, the sources said. Well Charles Mandigo, head of the Seattle FBI, and Gary Locke, governor, What the hell do you have to say about this?
Get off the steps of the idris mosque!
Quit fronting for the TERRORISTS!
Cut the "diversity is our strength" PC bullshit lectures.
Wake up!

I am not buying that these guys are not terrorists.
To: ladyinred
Of course they were terrorists.
The only question is, were they freelance, or did they play for one of the major teams?
If they did, which one?

According to kyw1060.com: A New Jersey DMV spokeswoman says the blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice, with New Jersey license plates NDA-21Z, is listed in John Allen Muhammad's name. He used an address of 1400 Sheridan Street.
Also, NJ plates on the car. NJ, little Pakistan...
Camden New Jersey is about 100 miles from Paterson... *the* hotbed

As an aside, I was listening to the radio this morning, and everbody was marvelling about how these two were such brilliant tacticians and had been outsmarting police, and it was amazing that they were caught doing such a bone-head thing as sleeping at a rest stop.
I can understand why people think that you have to be some kind of evil genius to get away with shooting people, but that is just not the case. To shoot people and get away with it takes just a little bit of skill with a rifle, a little discipline to take only one shot, and a little bit of planning, to make sure you have a clear escape route. With one person to shoot and one to watch and drive, it becomes easy. But to admit that it is easy would be to admit the vulnerability of living in a modern urban society, which is something people just cannot afford to do.
The myth that the sniper had to be an evil genius was just a defense mechanism to help us all get through the day.
Now, of course, it is revealed that the sniper was an idiot. He was asking the police to transfer $10,000,000 to a credit card account for a credit card he (personally) had stolen previously. In that robbery/homicide, he left his fingerprints, which were quickly matched up with his military records. I guess nobody had bothered to do this until the FBI started asking questions about the previous crime.
Say what you will, but the police playing along with the sniper, drawing him out, offering money, and then allowing themselves to look foolish in order to buy time, is what solved this case. Score one for the Moose.

OK, I'm officially beginning to get a little creeped out.
