The "experts" who said the sniper was a right-wing white guy and the anthrax (vanity)

While not all evidence is in, it looks like the sniper was a Muslim. Huge surprise to some.
All the newsmedia talking heads and the "expert" profilers, have been saying the sniper was a white domestic right-wing domestic. Even as more evidence mounted that this could possibly be terrorism, the networks did all they could to steer clear of it.
Freepers have been saying this was Islamic terrorism since day one. I guess that makes the Freepers smarter than the people whose job it is to profile. But we're really not smarter we just have common sense, and we're not afraid to be un-PC. We are at war with Islam, and anybody who tries to pretend that we're not is a fool.
One of the anthrax mailings said something along the lines of "death to america, death to israel, allah is great". This led the experts to believe that this is a domestic right wing terrorist. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that just like in the sniper case, the "experts" are wrong. We're at war with Islam here people, wake up.

Are you ruling out that this guy might be a black muslim American who is homegrown criminal? Are you convinced he has connection to foreign terror networks? Are you convinced all black muslim Americans are? Non-sequiturs & strawmen.
Something tells me you really aren't open minded on this thing.

I believe he shot and killed two black people. In fact, the last victim was a black man, age 35. It was a hate crime alright, but not a hate crime against a race, but rather a nation.

First off, if this loser was connected to Al Quaeda, he wouldn't have had to knock over liquor stores or sleep in his car. He'd be funded, with a series of safe houses.
It would have been moderately professionally managed - which it in fact wasn't. There wouldn't have been the stupid demand or the means given to easily capture them.
Ultimately, thats where her incredulity at this speculative connection comes from, and she is correct.

I'm not upset....I thought I'd spend some time on these threads because I've been avoiding most of them up to this point. I've been fascinated by the paranoia that this could turn out to be an angry white male. I've also been fascinated by the desire for there to be an international terror link. Will people be disappointed if these two are black Americans with a long rap sheet of robbery, drugs, etc.?
Could there be a connection? Yes. Could there be a muslim wanna be here? Yes. Bottom line is the same - fry him for murder. I suspect that this guy (were he connected to Osama or any other group) would have long since been found out by the Justice dept. sweeps.
It's been an interesting study in response on FR. The anger at this guy I understand. I just don't know if I get the desire to take out a portion of the American population when they've not been found guilty of anything. That's probably just exactly what our enemies would hope for us.

I don't agree with your thoughts here on this thread, but I've been around here long enough to know that you are one of the good guys.
You don't deserve the treatment and attitude some of the people have been throwing at you. Some people's willingness to "eat their own" when you are not in lockstep with their beliefs amazes me.

It was a hate crime alright, but not a hate crime against a race, but rather a nation.I can live with that assessment. Then again, all crimes are "hate crimes," IMHO.

I suppose it would be an indirect coup for the real Islamic terrorist if we would turn on all American muslims (many of who are Christian) and further divide.
Huh? Many Muslims are Christians? Are you confusing Arab with Muslim? Many Arabs are indeed Christians, and they are not the problem. The problem is the religion, not the race. And the problem is Islam.

I see that you are new, but that doesn't excuse your rudeness. Before you shoot off your mouth and insult people who probably agree with you on many issues, you should take a moment and think. Most of us have been here a lot longer than you without ever having a post pulled. If you really are a conservative that respects others, that should serve as a wake-up call for you.

The co-owner of the Chevy Caprice the alleged perps were driving lives in Camden, NJ. Camden ring any bells for you?
To: anniegetyourgun
I missed the report that these two are Al-Queda.
They are terrorists whether they are related to Al-Qaeda or not. The enemy is Islam, Al-Qaeda is just a small part of that. The Chechens holding hundreds of Russians hostage at this very moment aren't Al-Qaeda, but they are Muslim.

Then again, all crimes are "hate crimes," IMHO Most definately.

A city in New Jersey across the river from Philadelphia where an ex-wife of the suspect lives?

Just because he knocked over a liquor store doesn't mean he wasn't hooked up to al Qaeda. As a matter of fact, since funding has been frozen in many of the charities and money-laundering businesses, it is quite possible that robbery was necessary to fund his operation. It is also possible that he is simply a sympathizer who decided to do this to both strike back at the US and get some money.
Obviously he had a safe house of some sort because he had been moving around the country since September.
Are you telling me that Richard Reid's attempted blowing up of the airliner was professionally managed? He ended up linked to al Qaeda, you know.
Not all terrorists are going to be Carlos the Jackal. A lot of them are going to be disgruntled misfits with low-level IQ's.
Also, since the ransom demand came after the first wave of killings, it is possible that the guy decided to make a little cash on the side.
At any rate, while I don't see a connection to al Qaeda, and there probably isn't a direct one, I find your reasoning to be faulty. You have not proven that he couldn't have been linked to al Qaeda.

The sniper, whoever he is, shot and killed people of more then one race. mafree knew one of the victims, I believe. He was black.Yes, mafree's friend was the 8th victim, I believe. Successful businessman, married, 6 kids. The last victim was the 35 year old black bus driver (almost 10 years with the company), married 2 kids. Other victims were married with kids. Damn the shooter to hell for randomly killing such innocent people and robbing those familes.

A city in NJ where Sheikh Rahman used to live before he was hauled away to the big house? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

We have people here on this thread that amaze me, trying to hedge around the facts. For what reason I cannot fathom.People have "friends", co-workers, in-laws etc. that are Muslims. They do not want to face truths that may bring unpleasantness to people they know. That is one of the reasons. Were I in this situation, I would sleep with one eye open.

I heard him say that too. Was kind of surprised to hear someone with his name say that. Is he a Christian Arab?
