"You can bet that they are going to blame this on everyone and everything else but. The gun confiscators will use this to further their agenda to disarm Americans, the ACLU will blame it on his upbringing and they will be just a pair of loners who went bad."

The liberal media would love to try to do that very thing, but the guy's name is Muhammed and the kid's a Jamaican illegal immigrant, so it will never fly. Even "spin" has limits.

Moreover, those snipers were arrested in Maryland, which will place a lot of pressure on the Democratic Party governor there to repeal his "moratorium" on the death penalty. In fact, this whole episode will make the anti-death-penalty crowd decidedly less popular (as well as exposing the press' clear bias since they were squealing on and on about the sniper being a white NRA militia 20 to 30 year old Y-Gen kid).

Southack, I like your optimism; unfortunately, the truth is a little different. Here's the headline summary for the Yahoo discussion group regarding the shootings:

The nature of this debate reminds a little of the Pacific theater during WWII. To wit, whoever controlled Hawaii dictated whether the war would be fought in the west or eastern Pacific.

What we're seeing here is that whoever controls the media will establish the debate as ex-Military vs. Muslim. By Monday, every teacher in the US will be leading classroom discussions about the nature of why people have grievances against the US, and how military training and the acccess to weapons enables them to carry out their anti-community behavior.

Their proposed solution: limit access to dangerous tools and mind-altering (ie patriotic) conditioning so that we can all enjoy the benefits of a peaceful and loving community...

Even "spin" has limits.

Exactly. There are some things that even Ray Charles can see.
