Happy to read more about you. "Unglamorous but true" -- that's soooo British! Always enjoy your posts. Happily surprised that Tony Blair has been so supportive of our war against terror and not at all surprised that the French are being jerks. I live here in DC and some days I'm half-inclined to protest outside the French consulate and try to persuade American tourists seeking travel visas to visit Britain instead. "Go Visit Our Friends in Britain: No Tourist Dollars for the Wimpy French!" or some such.
