"Whew" Long article...can you narrow down where the duck/noose reference is ?

Something tells me our sniper doesn't surf much 'net.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
Is the U.S. a nation of ducks?
"In the fifth book of the Masnavi Rumi included several stories to illustrate why one should cut down the duck of gluttony, the cock of concupiscence, the peacock of ambition and ostentation, and the crow of bad desires. The story of how Muhammad converted a glutton who drank the milk of seven goats and then made a mess after being locked in a room shows the humility of the prophet in cleaning up the mess himself. He concluded that the infidels eat with seven bellies but the faithful with one. The peacock catches people by displaying itself. Pursuing the vulgar is like hunting a pig; the fatigue is extensive, and it is unlawful to eat it. Love alone is worth pursuing, but how can God be contained in anyone's trap? The most deadly evil eye is the eye of self-approval. The greed of the gluttonous duck is limited as is the greed of the lusty snake; but the peacock's ambition to rule can be many times as great. Worldly wealth and even accomplishments can be enemies to the spiritual life. These are the human trials that create virtue. If there were no temptations, there could be no virtue. Abraham killed the crow of desire in response to the command of God so that he would not crave anything else, and he killed the cock to subjugate pernicious desires"

I was just checking that passage out. But it sounds like the sniper views himself as the Duck.

Bernie Grimm on Fox is saying this is like a Rubic's Cube, spinning it around, trying to figure out the connections. I get it now... he is taunting the FBI and cops, thinking he got away this time....

From
my pitiful blog:
Chief Moose's reading of the "like a duck in a noose" reference, through a quick googling of "duck, noose" lead me to a Cherokee story of the trickster, a boastful rabbit, who attempts to persuade an otter that he is capable of doing any task as well as anyone else. The rabbit attempts to hunt ducks as well as an otter, but after placing a noose over a ducks neck, gets carried aloft by the startled duck. The rabbit falls into a tall stump (like the one taken from Tacoma?), gets trapped there for a while, and then has to eat its own fur to survive while stuck in the stump. Eventually the rabbit tricks some children (and in some tellings their father) to cut a hole in the side of the stump, convincing the humans that it is a beautiful creature to look upon. Once the hole is created, the rabbit darts to freedom. The analogy here seems obvious to the current situation. The rabbit, (sniper), slipped a noose over a duck and got picked up, (hunted civilians then placed on news all over world), then fell into a deep stump(feels trapped by current dragnet), had to eat its own fur(not sure about this element, not a perfect analogy), then finally escaped through trickery(sniper's dreams of escaping).
If the moccasin fits...

How about this: charles CHUCK MOOSE - DUCK NOOSE
To: Fixit
That is an excellent pickup on the stump - I missed it.

Here's one -
The story of blacks: The aborigines in Austrailia
http://www.culturelanguage.com.au/aborigines/food_ch26
a native would lurk silently among the reeds, and whenever an unsuspecting duck or other bird came near enough, the noose would be slipped over its head, and never more would it float, or fly, or swim.

The U.S. is like a duck in a noose because our notions of freedom and security are being strangled as the noose tightens around our necks one murder at a time.

So how do you explain that they're searching Camp Ground Zero right now?If true, I explain it as covering all your bases, as any good LEO damn well should.

Thanks for posting the summary. I was in the process. You missed this first reference from the parable.
God draws you by kindness that may appear like the anger of a noose.
The Duck is too content with water to seek the Simurgh.
Perhaps it is coindicedence? Fields

Imagine the sniper and accomplice's reaction to Moose saying that sentence. I am sure it emboldened them, to have that much control.

All your bases are belong to us.
To: AntiGuv
They need probable cause to go in there with a search warrant.

None of your Peletier links are working. I tried doing a search myself and even though the page is there it says it's not. Strange. This is interesting with Peletier though. I'd forgotten about this case. In a weird way this is the first thing that makes any sense.
