Palestinians portray George Bush, taking aim at Iraq, as the merciless US serial sniper.

PA Ridicules US Sniper Emergency
By Itamar Marcus
Introduction:
The ridicule of American suffering continues in the Palestinian Authority
[PA]. Following the gleeful political cartoons laughing at American fears on 9-11, the PA now uses the suffering of Americans from a serial sniper as the inspiration for its new political attacks on the US. In todays cartoon in Al Ayyam, the Palestinians coin George Bush "The Washington Sniper" shooting at an outline of Iraq.

Yeah, well... a "Palestinian" state, with much of Israel handed to it, is still the US administration's top priority if things haven't changed.

I think that there are legitimate interpretations of this
cartoon, and am not so quick to be outraged by it. I mean,
haven't we said that we expect many innocent Iraqi's to be killed
when we march on Iraq?

I see you're still around. Posting snippets from FR on you blog again, as well.
But I'm not going to out you to Jim this time. I'm having waaaaay too much fun watching you lead folks around with your "Radical Left" ping list. Very funny stuff!

This should be a good lesson for us as to what Israel is going through everyday.

I think that there are legitimate interpretations of this cartoon, and am not so quick to be outraged by it. I mean, haven't we said that we expect many innocent Iraqi's to be killed when we march on Iraq? I think there are legitimate reasons to confront Iraq, and legitimate, though IMO misguided reasoned to oppose action. However innocent Iraqi's killed will be collateral to our military action, not the target.
I don't buy the moral equivalence argument the cartoon is making.

I can only agree more. I had, at one time, some sympathy for the PA cause (that underdog thing) but seeing PA kids dancing around like they had just won the lottery as the WTC and the Pentagon burned got my trigger finger just a little itchy. Smoke 'em ALL !
To: facedown
It's especially sick when it's not improbable that the sniper is, himself, Palestinian.
To: NEWwoman
Exactly, except for the differance of in Israel it moved to MASS shootings of civilians until the civilians all carried guns and did not hesitate in shooting back. Then the cowards resorted to brainwashing their youth to blow themselves up in highly populated civilian places.
To: Rebelbase
Yes, I agree. I don't think it's right of the Pennsylvanians to make fun of our President. He's their President, too. Oh, Palestine? Nevermind.
To: alexandria
It's interesting (not surprising and definitely hypocritical) that the leaders like Arafat are not willing to do what they brainwash children to do.
