The man needs to file a discrimination lawsuit.

Was he told this was the reason?

Quick question: was his email reply to the entire company (all recipients) or just the originating address? Seems to me that if his reply was privately sent, termination is out of line. If he broadcast his reply to the entire company, he probably made a poor choice. Not defending KODAK here, but that's just asking for it.

So Kodak has a diversity group. Do they also have a profitability group?

Looks like Kodak decided that opposing a gay pride day at work wasn't politically correct. I mean an employee gets fired for saying he thinks making a coming out of the closet day at work company policy was wrong. Where's the ACLU on all this? You can express pro-gay sentiments at Kodak and get promoted but if you think celebrating it shouldn't be part of what Kodak's all about watch out for your job. The company's founder, George Eastman must be spinning in his grave over all this. Kodak's wonderful in the photography business, lousy at dealing with people who Kodak should be inclusive and tolerant of, yes especially of us homophobes.

This is ridiculous that in this nation a person cannot express an opinion unless it is PC! I am going to let Kodak know how I feel about this outrage!

I emailed kodak about this, gave them my opinion on the matter and warned them that Fuji is going to be my choice for future products and I received a reply. They wrote:

"As a matter of policy, we don't comment on individual personnel matters,
but we can assure you that Kodak carefully and thoroughly reviews all
personnel matters.

Kodak is committed to building and maintaining a diverse workforce and
an inclusive work environment. Our diversity is one of the reasons we're
the leading imaging company in the world.  The diversity of our
workforce - the scope and depth of the talent, ideas and experiences we
bring to bear - combine to make Kodak products and services the best in
the industry.

We thank you for your e-mail, and we will pass your comments along to
Kodak management.

Eastman Kodak Company"

I contacted kodak through their webpage here http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/contactKodak/index.jhtml

LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. Make `em feel pressure from freepers!

If you want to contact them using your email, you can email them at CorporateUS@cyber.kodak.com
