Others commented on this as well, and I agree. But that just goes to show you how close the view of the Muslim terrorists, who hate us, is to the view of the leftists, who also hate America and what we stand for. The "letter" was on a genuine Arab website, not a leftist website, so whoever wrote it, is expressing the extreme Muslim view.

Just wanted to add that I went back to that Arab site http://www.waaqiah.com/index.htm and looked at their links and lo and behold they had links to commondreams.org, a well known leftists site.

Interesting read. The sad truth about this letter is that 95% of 2 billion plus people believe this, and like the glass crawling democrats, their opinion will never change. Their opinions will ebb and flow as our government policies change, but in general, these people will always hate us. The only thing that I can sympathize with this letter is some of the self destructive behavior that is going on in our country. I love our freedom, but our lack of responsible behavior as parents, as teachers, as media (TV, music, etc), company executives (Enron, etc), alternate and destructive lifestyles, hijacked civil rights agenda, legal system depravity, is slowly, but surely relegating us towards 3rd world living conditions. Our selfishness, laziness (government handouts), further dilute our country's original ideals. I pray that we wake-up, not win the Moslem/Euro approval, but to rebuild our nations' purpose, realize the importance of integrity, love, humbleness, mercy, and hard work, and most of all, the worship of the true God.

Yes. It sounds like an Arab, certainly male, stuck between fundamentalism and lefty anti-american jargon. A key is the support, rather than criticism of the UN. That's lefty - not osama.

The letter definitely was not written by Bin Laden. It is the product of someone who, at the very least, studied extensively in the United States, which Bin Laden did not. Given the great familiarity demonstrated in the letter with casual American vernacular, phrasing and writing conventions, the author is more likely to be an American than to be Bin Laden.

You may then ask why we are attacking and killing civilians because you have defined them as innocent:
