Dowd has always "hated" the Bush family. Her father worked for the Secret Service during the first Bush admin. I have often wondered if he got demoted or fired by the Bush's and that is why she hates them so much?

My mom is doing very well, she has recovered from her stint surgery and is back to her old self now.

One of the few good things about being single is that I never have to share my computer or my remote control. If/when I ever do remarry, we'll have 2 computers. But I will NEVER relinquish my remote!

Normally I'd get the computer all day, but with hubby being unemployed he has TOO much time on his hands to hog the computer. Jobs in his field are nearly non-existant right now and may not be there for a long time to come. Add in age 55 you have a problem. He needs to make up his mind to go for additional training in a new field.

Hi - just wanted you all to know that I appreciate what you do here. FR's Finest has helped me to get to know some of the other people on freerepublic - thank you to everyone involved in doing these bios. I have been coming to freerepublic for almost a year, - but I just signed up this morning, in fact, this is my very first post. I thought this would be a good place to start.

My cousin here in Dallas is a retired Dallas police and he's on top of it better than I could ever be....thank goodness for Ray - he is always on top of family stuff. :O) The arm surgery went ok, but they had to do muscle repair, and I won't really know much til I get there tomorrow. Just tell everyone that I'm on my way EARLY in the morning and you can post any of my note here to anyone you want to.

I'm tired right now and gotta get up early so I have to go right now. My best to everyone, ok?
