Please forgive me, I know I should be pinging more people right now, but I'm not sure who'all is on and responding to Meek's earlier (#181) post. I FReepmailed him, and have received an update...he's sleeping now (I hope), and will be heading out very early Thursday morning. Here 'tis:

I find out after my posts that he has a neck fracture and after a 3 hour surgery (supposed to be 45 minutes) that he's in ICU. Sheesh. (There are tests they've done waiting results and more to do). My cousin here in Dallas is a retired Dallas police and he's on top of it better than I could ever be....thank goodness for Ray - he is always on top of family stuff. :O) The arm surgery went ok, but they had to do muscle repair, and I won't really know much til I get there tomorrow. Just tell everyone that I'm on my way EARLY in the morning and you can post any of my note here to anyone you want to.

I'm tired right now and gotta get up early so I have to go right now. My best to everyone, ok?

Thank you for the update on Meekie. He must be feeling just awful - the news has gotten worse each time we've had a report. Bless Meekie's sweet, sweet heart, and prayers going out for no more surprises (bad ones) when he gets there.
