Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

IF they didn't live in the searched house, perhaps the hispanic guy did? If this is a possible cell...there may be a few individuals involved.

Rabbit falls in stump. Could that be why the stump was taken into custody???

Ok I read the folklore -- and after staring a tree stump for six hours this stuck out. All of a sudden, he lost his grip on the noose and down he fell into the middle of a old hollow Sycamore tree..

Duck is Sniper and Rabbit are Police? (Duck in a Noose)
He quickly fastened his noose around the neck of the closest duck. Startled, the duck began to struggle to get away and finally took of on his wings and dragged the Rabbit out of the water after him. Now it was the Rabbits turn to be startled. And boy was he. He held on to the noose and was taken high into the air. Higher and higher he went. All of a sudden, he lost his grip on the noose and down he fell into the middle of a old hollow Sycamore tree with out a hole in the bottom to get out.

GMTA!
It does give pause, that these persons have been wanted for a few days, and the public has not been advised. But, the confusion that we perceive must also be confusing to the terrorists among us. The "duck in a noose" is something the messenger wanted Moose to say, so it is a message from the bad guy -- not TO the bad guy. LE made moves today in Washington State and Alabama (and maybe elsewhere) before Moose gave the "duck in a noose" message.
I have no idea what it all means, but I can describe the effect on me.
There is a game afoot
The bad-guys will either fire it up, or settle it down, but not status quo
Somebody, beside me, is taking this seriously (and that makes me feel good)

Exactly.

I still think there is more to this....or more individuals. Perhaps they want this guy on a firearms charge....he may know who they're looking for.

I think the meaning of a "Duck in a noose" is that the police think they have caught him but they will end up "eatiing their fur".
