Great job, gang. The harder thing is to keep this in the news when Doyle's friend and campaign worker Kenosha County DA Robert Jamois quietly buries it.

I wrote an e-mail to the Editor of the Journal-Sentinel this morning, asking why the paper has not covered this. Here is the reply I just received:

"WTMJ-TV broke the story last night. We had a short story this morning after we heard about it on the news at 10 p.m. With more time to report the story today, we will now have a longer story in Thursday's newspaper.

As whether our news coverage supports Jim Doyle, let me make a couple of points:

1) The Journal Sentinel broke the story last June that Doyle picked fiveof the 12 charitable groups that received grants $6.3 million lawsuit settlement with vitamin manufactures instead of relying on the advisory committee he established to make selections. Individuals connected to at least six of the groups chosen made contributions to Doyle's campaign for governor according to our story.

2) I heard from many readers this morning who said the gront page today completely changed places with our editorial page because we are trying to sell papers to people in favor for McCallum. They said taking the empty accusation of a "desperate" politician and putting it on the front page as news was "pathetic."

I would humbly submit that one's view of the Journal Sentinel governor's race coverage is colored by the candidate he or she supports.

Thank you for taking the time to write us.
Sincerely,
Marty Kaiser"

Only 100%? I've hit 128% a couple times <VBG>

Seriously, the Jim Doyle ammo ban commercial is now out there (just heard it on WISN).

Hopefully you'll keep Jeb in power (will you have room for a bunch of Cheddar Brains should Doyle, toil, boil and trouble win up here and challenge Sweden for the world's highest taxes?)

Lol! Absolutely. You're doing a fine job preventing that from happening. It's great to see the pre-election news coverage of the Dem. election mischief. Even the honest Dems. don't like the cheaters in their own party. (^:

Thanks.

Brewcrew, looks like we've got a warmer option where we get a chance to see the Brewers win every time we go in person (at least as long as no road trips to Atlanta are taken).

I wonder if we can get the Helena affiliate to carry the Brewers.

No way. I'd much rather watch minor league baseball, and there are a number of minor league teams in Montana. Those kids are hungry - they want to move up. Much more spirited. Cheaper, too. Of course, I'd be able to keep a lot more of my own money (instead of giving it to Doyle and his gun-grabbing cadre), so ain't that ironic. ;^D

Sample email: to RJambois@co.kenosha.wi.us and/or Jambois.Robert@mail.da.state.wi.us, Kenosha county DA. Feel free to use/modify and freep the heck out of him. --Snerdley

Mr Jambois,

As a concerned voting citizen, I'm appalled by the brazen illegality of bribing mentally handicapped people to cast ballots and taint our honorable system of selecting a government. An example MUST be set or this practice will be more widespread and our voting system will become the joke that has seen Sadaam Hussein re-elected by a 99% majority.

The right to cast an informed vote in a fair election is the highest privilege of living in our land. That right is jeopardized by the few who would cheat. Those people are clearly identified in this incident and the video evidence is overwhelming.

The future of our system rests IN YOUR DECISION to protect or corrupt it. I appeal to your pride as an American over your party affiliation.

Sincerly,

I prefer mine (it lets him know that I know he's on the Doyle campaign payroll).

Ann Coulter's book is "Slander" (not scandal) - but the word scandal is appropriate.

Just got my "Fighting Back" by Bill Sammon today - can hardly wait to read it.

I'm very engrossed in "Breakdown" by Bill Gertz. It's one of those you also cannot put down.

Is this really news? I mean, Democrats have been exploiting - and winning - the mentally ill vote for decades, haven't they?
