Hijackers Got Visas With Little Scrutiny, GAO Reports

By Dan Eggen Washington Post Staff Writer Tuesday, October 22, 2002; Page A07 At least 13 of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers were never interviewed by U.S. consular officials before being granted visas to enter the United States, according to a congressional report issued yesterday. The finding contradicts previous assurances from the State Department that most of them had been thoroughly screened.

This is the cover story of last weeks National Review.

I hope they at least credited that publication for initially breaking the story.

Yes, National Review had it first, but it's good for the liberals who run everything in DC to see the evidence in their paper of record. If the shenanigans at the visa bureau aren't legally treason, they'll do until the real thing comes around.

When Timothy McVeigh blew up the Oklahoma City federal building, the government had a TOW antitank missile stowed in a locker several floors above the daycare center.
Gee. This new OKC investigation is bringing up some interesting stuff.
The Wall Street Journal has added its voice to those - in and out of government - who have concluded the circumstantial evidence linking Saddam Hussein’s Iraq to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the 1993 first World Trade Center bombing, as well as the 9-11 attacks, is overwhelming.
Clinton, Open boarders and a 10 year lax on immigration did a lot of damage. It will do a lot more, too.
