Can anyone here talk me out of this?

No longer do I think this is AQ or Hamas or any other of those groups. I'm thinking now that the French sniper was hired by Saddam to stop the war by threatening us this way. That's why the fed govt got involved in this.

There have been 2 articles in the past day about war plans being on ice, the President now thinking that we'll go with the UN deadlines of 135 days. And the irony of using a French citizen must be making Saddam laugh out loud.

Anyway, that's my theory and I hope I'm wrong.

That's a very interesting theory. What makes me wonder about this French soldier is that he's been AWOL since September 2nd, yet the government of France didn't report him to Interpol until sometime in the last few days. By my reckoning, this angle was brought up after that five-day hiatus ended with the shooting on Saturday night in Ashland County.
