How would a sniper ascertain one's religion by looking through a scope?

Laurel, MD (Al Qaeda Cell) on I95 toward Baltimore, 8 miles from northeast corner of I495 loop. Closest to Bowie child shooting.
Potomac, MD (Hezbollah Cell) 4 miles west of northwest corner of I495 loop. Closest to western loop shootings
Herndon, VA (Al Qaeda & Islamic Jihad Cells) 10 miles west of I495 loop. A little farther than Potomac.

I am looking, for but can not find, a link to the recent (a month & half or so ago) story regarding AQ plans for attacks on schools. I believe the Washington Times ran with it first but it was in breaking news in the past month or so. It's the first thing to come to mind when I heard the "children" comments today. Oh...for what it's worth, Saddam is plenty megalomaniacal enough to simply ASSume the US, still reeling from 9/11, would NATURALLY go after him right after taking care of the Al Quaeda/Talibunnies, and attempt a preemptive warning strike. If so, he only put another nail in his own coffin, without anyone forcing him to do so. Which is also something he's perfectly capable of.
If this sniper case is a little reminder of Saddam/Hitler's 'power'...it'll backfire. Americans aren't what he thinks, which is why he's so easy to play like a fiddle (I'll miss him when we do get around to killing him....it has been fun...almost a hobby) it'll be a bloodbath, at least here. People WILL go after Muslims in this country wherever we can find them, with bare fists if necessary...it'll be a bloodbath. The citizenry of other Western countries will eventually follow the pattern.
We're all based upon the same culture, after all, and THAT culture has nothing to do with moon gods, meteors OR mad Muhammads.

Pentagon to Release Prisoners From Guantanamo, Rumsfeld Says

The U.S. government is preparing to free a small number of prisoners from its high-security jail in Cuba, in what would be the first release of combatants who are no longer considered a terrorist threat, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld said Tuesday.
"There are some people likely to come out of the other end of the chute," Rumsfeld told a Pentagon press conference.
Other officials said on condition of anonymity that it could be within days.
Rumsfeld said officials were vetting the prisoners to make sure they were not candidates for prosecution, no longer of any intelligence value, and not a threat to the United States and its allies.
The first batch to be let go includes "a relatively small number" of men, he said, adding that he didn't know their nationalities.
Pakistani officials have said a visit to the prison turned up a number of Pakistanis who do not represent a threat to the United States.
The government, a major U.S. ally in the counter-terror war, has asked the men to allowed to return to Pakistan. It's unclear how many other countries have sought release of their nationals.

You're acting like no one could even imagine such a thing, and it's simply false"Some of us simply KNEW we'd be in Iraq before all was said and done...fewer still figured out the probable WHEN is Saddam didn't just make it easy on us and have a stroke or get murdered by someone avenging what he did to his own son, or his execution of political prisoners after he released them from prison under blanket amnesty "offers"...Saddam is not included in that number. His guesses are based upon his ego and his fears.
As for the second part of your statement: I'll ignore it. You've obviously never read my posts about Saddam before.

A couple of points:
No Muslim has been shot yet. If he/she were, the screaming liberal press would have fallen all over themselves to trumpet it. Morbid as it sounds, if a Muslim had been hit, a huge sigh of relief would have come from CNN...they are thinking the same thing we are thinking; they just hope it ain't so.
'Nother point: Flash suppressors are designed to hide the flash from people in front of you. They do this by directing the flame UP, often by 6 or 8 slots near the muzzle. From in front, it is greatly hidden. From above, it is enhanced; flames shoot up. Very noticable.
(At the same time, it pushes the barel down, which normally tends to climb during a shot. This helps keep the barel level, so the next shot can be quicker)
Most Military folks know this, all over the world.
'Nother point: The Sniper from France who went AWOL in Canada (destination: Chicago, according to his leave) is very suspect.
He is known to have fantastic Marksman skills; tops among his peers.
'Nother point: There IS a composite sketch of the sniper, and has been so for awhile. For some reason, it is not available to the US, due to who knows. But the composite sketch is available in Europe. Several military people in France who know this AWOL guy have already said the sketch looks like him.
My only question is whether he is French Algerian, or otherwise Muslim.
Final point: Let loose the CIA dogs, and Delta, and don't micro-manage them. Just let them loose. The guy would be toast, well done, burnt to a crisp, and all his secrets will be known. (shudder for him!)
I know that by law they are not allowed to (Posse-Comittitus-something), but f'it We need a new law. Model it after what Isreal has--they've done the homework already, and paid in blood for mistakes. As a Libertarian, I support it.

Final-final point:
A friend of mine was a Ranger in the Somallia "Black-hawk-down" operation (got shot in the leg, kept going, and didn't care). He has the whitest, non-moving, steely eyes I've ever seen (perfect condition). Former enlisted, he gained his degree and was a Louie in Somallia in the heart of the fracas. He is frighteningly tough; you wouldn't believe. But even he is in awe of the guys in the CIA. They recruit from SEALS and Rangers; only the best. They are to a man Patriots, willing to die for us, though a boatload of bad guys will die first. Glad they are on our side.
Let the CIA and Delta dogs loose. Hell, they live right there. They would get this pansy so fast, and are dying to do it. They live for it.
