Prepare for these attacks to spread across the country for one of two reason...

1. This is AQ or another foreign terrorist group and the test wave of sniper attacks to study our response.

2. Whether it's a foreign terrorist or not, our under belly has been shown, and if terrorists are watching, they see an inexpensive way to terrorize our people and halt our free life style.

I'm leaning this way also, because most serial killers have a certain type people they kill. Women, blacks, men... this IS calculated, terror, IMO.

Anyone have awareness of anyone else killing, just for sake of killing and arousing terror just for the sake of Terror??? I'd say it's Saddam Hussein and/or his AQ buddies in the style you describe.

Whether it's foreign terrorists, domestic terrorists or both, the bottom line is: this is terrorism.

Two possibilities hit me: 1:) the letter was planted later by somebody else hoping to cash in, which is why police didn't discover it at the scene until a tipline call led them back to the scene of the shooting.

2:) It's an extortion scheme, the success of which depends upon the effectiveness of the terror tactics, a la the rash of plane hijackings in the '70's which involved monetary demands, or the much more recent tactics of Abu Sayyef in the Phillipines.

I agree with you...either way, there WILL be more of of these incidents, and the media highlighting our soft underbelly will just embolden the psychos into trying more often and harder.

Ain't that the truth. The shooter(s) have probably spent what...maybe 75 bucks for gas and bullets. And look at all the disruption it's caused.
