I enjoyed this article, but it was a bit fluffy. I mean, I'm no man-hater, but honestly, what woman in their right mind would put up with a man?

Men bring so much hurt and misery into womens lives. Whether it be physical abuse, rape, emotional abuse, adultery, (though that could go both ways), child abuse, pedophilia, dead-beat-dad-syndrome, (not paying child support), morally bankrupt, intellectually void (cave-man-mentality)...the list goes on and on...

And believe me, I still have male friends which I respect and care deeply for, but as far as letting one into my life, into my home, and into my son's life...no way! Not in a million years!

That's an unfortunate attitude. I know more than a couple young men, that if they feel they should commit to you, would be faithful, loving and STRONG mates of superior character.

I am among them :)

Sorry to tell you this, but in the fullness of time your son will become what you hate and fear. A man.

You swallowed the Feminist propaganda. A society in which women got brainwashed to believe that men are bad and they women have right to con them is doomed to die out.

With your attitude towards males, your son will obviously grow up happy and well-adjusted.

NOT !

If the above is what you think of men in general, you have no business raising a son. I can only imagine what he thinks of male-female relationships at this point

For every male-beast story you might have, I probably know an equally-bad woman who screwed the man in her life

I am sorry that you feel this way and wish you the best.

Sometimes it works the other way, too. I am no saint, and am imperfect as the next fellow, but I have provided well for my wife and two kids since the early 1980s, almost exclusively providing all material support and upper-middle class life. Additionally, I run most of the errands, juggle the schedules, and do all of the ironing, all of the dishes, some of the cooking, all of the outside work, most of the grocery shopping, and countless other tasks.

For this I receive little or no respect or appreciation, receive very little intimacy or sex, and am constantly told that I am the failure in this marriage because I don't provide enough respect or affection for her. In fact, I am the one in counseling because she refuses to go and will not engage in any physical activity unless I "get healed."

People, including the counselor, ask me why I stay in such a ridiculous one-sided relationship. It's simple, I love my children and I am not going to give her 50% of what I have amassed financially.
