The thing about mass murderers... if they've already done a crime that will bring about the most serious punishment allowed by the system, what would restrain them from killing any number of people, until they get caught alive or commit suicide by cop or angry mob? I really don't think this person or persons expect to get away with it forever, but will just keep doing it as long as they can inflict terror. The Palis willingly die to blow up Jews, and this sure looks like the same death-wish mentality, whether or not it's ME terrorists. Hamas masterminds often end up incinerated by large projectiles, but until then its business as usual. No matter who the sniper(s) ends up being, he's a Muslim at heart.

When this is all over I expect a good series of national editorials on the topics of National Denial, National Political Correctness and Diversity Blindness. And what we have become as a people. Hope we can swing the pendulum back regarding this new national characteristic. It did go back for about four months after 9-11, but then political correctness re emerged. If the demand for money were real then I would be totally surprised. The demand for money is a false trail laid down by the sniper. He has to know that picking up the money would expose him to capture. That is where he would be vulnerable. If he were just in it for the money that could have been done a whole lot earlier with a whole lot less risk.

First though, if it's not being done already, national guardsmen with night vision and dressed in camoflage should be monitoring every "wooded area" in the vicinity. Secondly, national guardsmen should be staking out gas stations in the area. If that doesn't work, or if it has already failed, then I think your idea should be implemented next.

Cut her a little slack. She was just hired in August to read the news. Previously she did schtick on Imus in the morning.

She is in way over her head since this broke, but MSNBC doesn't have a gracefull way of pulling the plug on her. After all, the rest of their on-screen talent started as news readers also.
