I'm sure Moose is not running the show. There were probably a vast team of *specialists* who approved the Moose statement verbatim. It appeared to me that he was carefully reading the statement.

I think you are right. I haven't particularly liked the way Moose has handled the press conferences, but he isn't running the show. I thought he did alright today. Better than he was doing in the beginning.

So the incompetence is higher up than Moose. It's incompetence at the highest levels of the FBI and ATF, which is not a comforting thought.

I noticed today Moose said "person" or "people responsible". Mostly the FBI profilers have been saying it is a single individual. Maybe they are finally considering the possibility of a group.
