Well, we can thank the cable news channels for this. In a desperate attempt to keep this going for ratings, they will pull out anyone than can place an "expert" label on to talk nonsense 24/7. It is getting tiresome.

LOL. What was most interesting was that the German authorities actually came out with straight faces and insisted that a bizarre scenario had unfolded. They said a group of Rudy's comrades broke into the prison (unbeknownst to any of the guards) with a number of guns and lots of ammunition, but instead of escaping they decided to pass the guns out to Rudy and his fellow prisoners and they all shot themselves.

The story began to unravel some time later when a reporter reviewed the autopsy reports and wondered why all of the prisoners dies of gunshot wounds to the backs of their heads.

I think they are doing more harm than good. Did you by chance hear Bo Dietl last night? He practically challenged the sniper and directed his comments straight to him. Called him a coward, said "you're real brave shooting women and children in the back". I thought that was inaappropriate since we know the shooter has been responding to media coverage.

I turned on my tv right after this shooting happened. May or may not be applicable but, msnbc had a copter flying over the immediate area. THERE IS A RATHER LARGE PLACE OF BUSINESS that has a parking lot full of "white suvs or small vans." Does anyone know what that business is?

It is a USPS Depot - Those are route mail trucks you are seeing in the closed in lot right next to the scene.

As someone who's worked in journalism (print) for 25 years, I agree. When something is happening, 24/7 news is wonderful. The problem is, once the initial news has happened and is out there and an adequate amount of reporting and commentary has been done, then sometimes there really isn't anything else to say about the story. But try to tell management and advertisers that there's nothing else to say. They still have 24/7 to fill. So they fill time with talking heads.
