Has anyone started a Yahoo Group in case Free Republic goes down like it did yesterday when the two were arrested in Richmond? Please post if you did, I tried to get one going but all the "sniper" names were taken.

"A gent I work with told me this morning that the annual rifle marksmanship (read: sniper) competition at Camp Lejeune has been cancelled this year because of all this.

This stinks, but there is is thing called "guilt-by-association" and with all the bad media press on rifles and .223's in particular etc. I would assume that the marksmanship club feels this is being done out of "respect" for the victims. The creep that's doing this should not be called a "sniper" should not be given notorious names, such as "Beltway Sniper". He is a coward with a gun. A murderer. I cringe when I hear the media giving him "titles" that surely elevate his sick ego.

I'm in Seattle, and I'm fearful. While I do not live in a house, since 9/11 I have believed that I may have to defend myself against Albert Q. as I call the Islamofascists or more likely, domestic rioters and looters taking advantage of a civil emergency.

I don't have too much money, but I am preparing for that possibility. My girlfriend thinks it's funny(she doesn't ridicule it and isnt scared, which is good) and I've told her that when things jump off, all the unarmed folk are going to be begging for protection from the minutemen.

That's the "baby" Glock I was talking about. A sweet gun. Great for concealment. I have a Glock 17. I will keep using it because I have several high capacity mags for it that I can no longer get since I am out of LE. With the high capacity mags, I can have loaded 18 rounds, and with a second mag in my pouch, I have 35 rounds. Lots of lead. Lots of "Bang" factor.
