"By the way, I wonder if the sniper picks a black victim every time Chief Moose says something that annoys him? That may be, but I think the determining factor for the shooter is A.C.E. (access, cover and escape). I think he/them chooses a location that affords him/them those factors and then waits for some unfortunate person to walk into his sights. I wish him the same fate, as un-Christian as that sounds.

To keep this from spreading as a rumor IT WAS NOT CONFIRMED, IN FACT, WAS DENIED HE (MISSING FRENCH) WAS EVEN YUGOSLAVIAN OR EVEN CAME FROM YUGOSLAVIA
To: bcoffey
Thank you , bc.
To: Fred Mertz
I hope he will say something more useful than his little crypto-grams.
To: AmericanInTokyo
was INITIALLY described as Yugoslavian,It isn't clear where this info came from. It could just as well have been a false rumor deliberately spread by authorities to muddy the waters. I mean otherwise, I'm sure the French would've assumed he was muslim. Can't find anything more either. But you're right, the biggest breaks will come from foreign media. However, don't count on his former classmates talking to the press. IMO, they've been ordered to keep silent and they will. They're soldiers.

I would disagree on one thing .30. In all law enforcement training, even most sniper training, we were trained to shoot for center mass. Chest/torso. Two reasons, 1. Easier to hit. Head shots are difficult if not impossible if you are doing anything other than target/scope shooting at an unmoving target. For a moving/attacking target, head shots are next to impossible and impractical. Center mass. It is big. It hurts like hell. It will ususally debilitate if not kill and it is easier to hit. 2. When shooting, you want to only hit the perp. Shooting for the head is so inpercise, that the odds that you miss and hit a friendly/nonperp are greater. And that is not good. Shoot for center mass. That is what this sniper is doing. Easier target. Still kills. Especially with a supersonic round. The impact and damage are great.

My dad is the real collector, but I've got my share, too! I've shot enough different rifles, carbines, and handguns to know what feels right in my grip, what I can fire without injury to my hand or shoulder, and with what I can be most efficient and accurate.
Thanks for sharing! It is good for women like us to be armed and confident in any and all areas and situations.

Funny how you didn't see DD or Jabbar Habib Khalid on any of the sniper threads when it appeared that they were nabbed and were "neither black nor white." I think you guys scared him off with your eloquence.

Senior aides to US Attorney-General John Ashcroft have been given compelling evidence that former Iraqi soldiers were directly involved in the 1995 bombing that killed 185 people. <snip>
After hearing her evidence, several senior members of Congress have called for a new probe.
That's the result of scanning WND's latest article looking for where Ashcroft stands. Apparently there's *not yet* been annoucnement of the case re-opening, sorry to say. We'll stay tuned on other threads.

Thanks for the heads up, Fred. I was thinking of catching a catnap, but I guess that will have to wait.
To: rintense
Thank YOU for posting your original statement. I've been considering the very same thing myself so I've been learning right along with you. I think we're on the same wavelength today.
To: txrangerette
BVW did say he wasn't trying to make this personal..I'll give him credit for saying that. But some of his previous words seem to indicate otherwise. I understand completely what you are saying...and it makes sense to want to maintain a sense of normal routine. But how in the world can anyone expect a traumatized community to behave routinely? I'm not seeing them doing this to avoid terror. I see self-preservation as the key issue. Maybe both are the same. We're not been programmed to go about our daily business under terroristic acts like the citizens of Israel..and if anyone expects us to..it's going to take time. Does that make better sense of what I'm trying to convey?
To: Fred Mertz
Enjoy lunch, I am sure it will be another cryptic non message that serves to invoke another murder.
To: johnny7
...they are adapting to heightened police activity.Ah, perhaps...but can they adapt to heightened citizen activity, I wonder?
My prayer is still that an armed citizen will be in the right place at the right time to catch this killer in the act. Odds in the DC area are not in favor of that happening, but that's why we pray.
To: Merovingian
I think that the sniper saw what befell those poor Mexican slobs yesterday, realized that take-down was planned for HIM, now it is FU MOOSE.... Morning Mero,
Sure looks like it, doesn't it. See #549. No more video games punks for me...

Speaking of wavelength, I am thinking "bandwith".
If the perp or perps are nabbed, be they domestic or international nuts, I would imagine FR will be nearly crashed and inaccessable. (Not being a techie), Is there any plan by Jim Robinson to somehow mirror an additional URL site for Free Republic(if that can be done) or otherwise give her more power to keep her going through the storm of cyberfury coming up? It was VERY VERY difficult to access the other day when two suspects were apprehended in Ashland, VA.....
