"How is he doing it?" That was the question the Baltimore Sun asked this week in an article about the eleven long-range sniper attacks. "There are only vague descriptions of white vans or trucks that the sniper might be traveling in."
Strangely, no report that I have read even mentions the amazing similarity these sniper attacks have with similar sniper attacks in the past two years in Israel by Palestinian terrorists that have left at least 215 ordinary people - some of them babies - dead. Of the 627 people killed by Palestinian terrorists in Israel, at least 135 of them were killed by snipers - one at a time.
Of the 11 attacks in 13 days, nine people have been killed and 2 seriously wounded. So far, the majority of them have taken place in Maryland, a small state with a little over 5.1 million population and a land area of only 9,775 square miles. Israel, oddly enough, is close to the same size as Maryland, having 5.7 million people in population and a land area of about 8,000 square miles. The first five sniper attacks in the current Intifada in Israel took place from September 29, 2000 to October 8, 2000. In Maryland, the first five sniper attacks took place on October 2, 2002. And, we are told, the people of Maryland are nearly paralyzed with fear while America tells the Israelis to respond to terrorism with "restraint."
Are these similarities merely coincidences, or are they a message from terrorists that Americans can expect what Israel is enduring? And, if that is the case, should Americans do what they have urged the Israelis to do about similar sniper attacks on Israeli civilians, including Israeli babies - respond with restraint and understanding of the terrorists position?
If that sounds far-fetched to some readers, let me say it would have to me, had it not been for an exchange of e-mails this past week with a group, claiming to be conservative Christians, who objected to my article last week, entitled, "It's Time To Vote Saddam Hussein Collaborators Out Of The U.S. Congress." I quoted Charles Lindbergh's mid-1930s pro-Hitler speeches, and observed: "As a result of the anti-war movements of the 1930s, America was not ready for war in 1941."
I received a copy of an e-mail sent by "Richard," apparently to a list of people, which began with, "Mary appears to be a bit off target in her admonishment of the actions of Charles Lindberg before WWII. Now that the truth is far better understood about the causes behind WWII, Lindbergh should be seen as exceptionally prescient and prophetic....but, the Judeo-Christians of today are so blinded to the truth about events then, and today, that they fail to see just who is the Prime Mover behind these destructive events, both in America and in the rest of the world."
Hitler's slaughter in concentration camps of 6 million Jews merely showed foresight? I've read this sort of notion before - on terrorist websites. Richard repeated in a Christian context the exact same rhetoric I've read on Muslim terrorist websites to justify their murders. He even included reference to the "Protocols of the Elders of Israel" which was used by Adolf Hitler as an excuse to murder Jews, even though it was proved a forgery in 1921!
It isn't Hitler, Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein who are the troublemakers Richard informed me. No indeed. It's the Bush Administration that is " being Used by the Talmudists to generate sympathy for their current status and they simply want America to do their dirty work for them. And a Jewish dominated Federal government, at all levels is doing just that--succumbed to the talmudic demands that are now exposed for what they are, working of the infamous Protocols of the Elders of Zion...now almost concluded."
Richard wrote, that Jews "are NOT the people whom they claim to be, they are not genetically associated with ancient Judah and absolutely not with ancient Israel. There has been a massive hoax perpetrated on the Christian world for centuries and it is now coming to a head, as their long sought dream of world dominion is considered close by."
This is what Palestinian children are being taught in school. The back cover of one of their textbooks, for 6th grade, states the book "will demonstrate the fraudulence of the Jewish claim, that Palestine is theirs by historical right, which is the greatest lie known to humanity. The Jews were foreigners who strayed to it, and their existence there was terminated 2,000 years ago..."
That is just what Adolf Hitler said. In 1933 he proclaimed that Jews were not Germans. Then he proclaimed a national boycott of Jewish shops and excluded Jews from public service, the universities and the professions. By 1945 most of Europe's Jews were dead or had fled.
Are we seeing the beginning, in Maryland and Virginia, of the kind of terrorism Israel has faced for years? Perhaps. Considering the fears expressed by people in the sniper areas, what WILL the reaction be if there is a massive effort to convince Christians that they can have peace by getting rid of the Jews, or changing America's support of Israel? After all, Palestinian school children are now being taught,"Palestine, the gift of the heavens to the earth is today the subject of the heart's aspirations for Christians and Moslems -representing half the world's population- and the struggle waged in it is not between Moslems and Jews alone, rather it is between Christianity and Islam on the one side, and Zionism on the other."
Radical anti-Semitic "fundamentalist Christians" and radical "fundamentalist Muslims" are clearly moving together in an effort to eliminate Jews and the State of Israel. This kind of hatred is contrary to the teachings of both faiths and it is time that both American Christians and American Muslims speak up in opposition to it.

The news today said in the phone "communication" he asked for money, so it may just be a murderer trying to shake down the govt for $$$, but I'll still wager you a box of Lake City the shooter is Islamic and part of a team.
Yes, there've been links to various articles at various news sites around here, and they all mention that. I think on the main thread, the really long one, someone posted several links to sites carrying that article.
