What an intriguing story, if true! Thanks for posting it. P.S. I like your profile page.

..he is handling this 0/k... He is under stress...
Ask the people that have been shot while Chief Moose was on the watch, to keep them safe.
O/k, Stress, should I now shead a tear for our Great Chief Moose, or for the victims that he has allowed to be murdered.
Sorry, rave for your chief that is being used by the media, the local, and maybe the national law enforcement people, but some times, you are what you are.
If I was Chief Moose, I would put in for early retirement, now, or apply for an airport scecurity job.

I'm not exactly certain the police have had actual contact with the killer. Their profile probably indicates he is ego-driven, and wouldn't want some fraud stealing his thunder, and taking his glory.
So, the police put out a bogus story about having been contacted by the killer, in the hopes the real killer will contact them. The police use a thousand agents to cover hundreds of phones up, and down I-95 in an attempt to catch the guy. The two aliens pull up to a phone-booth in a white van, and the police prematurely pull the trigger.
Now, the police are doing damage control, trying to get the real killer to call them by making him think they are still in contact with someone who is claiming to be the killer.
Confused ?.... I am

Heh! Reminds me of a very old song: "All Alone.....By The Telephone".

Yup, some times, you don't play a fool, they just show up, univited, but anointed.

Really, it is better for your posture and you don't have to watch the tv between your big toes. LOL

the caller used a voice-distortion device and was very difficult to understand.
I was shopping this weekend and stopped by a "discovery channel" store and picked up a "voice-distortion' device that they had on sale. On the box it said that with todays technology it was possible to get a voice ID even with a distortion device. I don't know if this is true or not, does anyone know??

for the victims that he has allowed to be murdered. Would you care to explain that allegation?

when are the Feds taking this thing over?
To: tall_tex
I may have watched too many movies but I have a thought on why the "Moose" is still center stage.
Perhaps the perpetrator will only DEAL/PLAY with Mr. Moose? Maybe it is that he thinks Moose will play the game better and be a lot more fun TO play with?
Don' flame me, just a thought.

... HE wants to make them look stupid and and helpless..
He needs little help, they seem to be able to do that all alone. (Of course they have the national, state and local news helping them out).

By no means am I an expert. It seems to me that if the voice is digitally altered, it would be possible to digitally undo the effect. Adding random noise to the distortion might make it at least difficult, if not impossible, to determine the original voice. The companies that make the distortion devices probably also sell the decoders to the Feds... who knows?

"More police showed up. We had undercover cops, Henrico County cops, they were getting out of their vans. They had compact binoculars and they kept looking up at the Exxon station. A little bit later they pulled up bigger binoculars." Thank God they brought the big binoculars. Whew!

It's amazing that all this media coverage and LE involvement and schools closed and parents missing work to stay home with the kids, and all we caught were two illegals. Wow. More expensive than buying them first class tickets back to where they came from.
Don't think whomever is making demands/deals with moose, doesn't know they'll promise him/them anything but, they intend to win in the end. So, we (the citizens) have to go through this stuff anyway. Just don't understand.
To: MarthaNOStewart
I think the two illegals they arrested in the white van at the phone booth today ARE some of the snipers.....

I and you know that Moose is out his area of expertise. I have had trouble trying to figure out his area of experience
But does Harry Belefonte, know or care?
In my opinion, he does not.
Is Moose a house slave, a field slave or a slave of afformative action?
...give Moose a break..he's out of his league...
Agreed, he is out of his depth. He is not a quarter back, he does not have a clue about what is going on in DC, he has never been in the game, he does not even know the name of the game, much less pronouce it.
