A friend of mine who lives in Arkansas will not be voting for Hutchinson for the reasons you cited. She won't be voting for Pryor, but she cannot bring herself to vote for Hutchinson.

Sorry to hear that because this is the thinking that kept Clinton and his corruption in control of Arkansas until he got bumped up to the White House. We all come short of the glory and Tim Hutchinson is no worse or better than his fellow Arkansans. At least he admits his marriage failure and doesn't flaunt it like the Clintons do. I hope enough voters in Arkansas prefer the repentant man to the return of corruption to this state if the democrats continue to win back their power here.

Ironically, this conservative AR woman will be making it more likely that partial birth abortion will not be banned in the U.S. when she skips the senatorial ballot. Hutchinson won the primary by a large margin. AR Republicans would not replace him with a conservative without his personal baggage. Therefore, it seems to me that Republicans in AR (hardly a large majority of the people anyway) do not have the luxury of boycotting the Hutchinson candidacy at this late date out of moral outrage. Such action will merely bring laughter to the faces of David and Mark Pryor!

Your friend ought to try a new activity - minding her own business. Hutchinson and his wife divorced, it doesn't mean they're bad people. Only after the divorce did he become involved with his 2nd wife. There is no evidence that he ever cheated on his wife, and I'd be very surprised if it turned out that he did. People ought to keep their nose out of something that doesn't concern them.
Pryor is a weasel running on his daddy's name who will vote for Tom Daschle for speaker and vote the way he demands. Hutchinson is pro-life, supports the 2nd Amendment, will cut our taxes, and confirm conservative judges.
How many dead babies, confiscated guns, higher taxes, and rejected judicial nominees is worth it for your friend to claim the moral highground for voting against a guy for getting divorced.

It's like, "well, I can't vote for the Devil, but I don't like Jesus' gun-control stance"!
Yet another good reason I left Arkansas in 1983 after 13 years. Univ of Ark alumni too! lol

This is so stupid. There has never been an evidence of marital infedelity before the divorce, only rumors perpetrated by the left wing media.
Before you stay home this election remember that Ronald Reagan was divorced and remarried.

She is an idiot then. Sorry.

Dear Catspaw, Please tell your friend that her thinking is just wrongheaded. Sen. Tim will vote to protect the unborn. Pryor will not. Sen. Tim's divorce was unfortunate and he has made a public apology for his failure within his marriage, but it is also interesting to note that the first mrs hutchinson refused to move to be with her husband to Washington... Guess where she lives now after the divorce? Yes she resides in Washington DC working for Congressman John Boozman.
Sen. Tim has been a gentleman regarding any details of the divorce..it was not all his fault I assure you.
In fact, I personally know others who say that it was a wonder the marriage lasted as long as it did.
? I'm not defending either side, but I know if my husband were a senator or congressman I would be moving to be with him.
Other issues about Pryor vs. Tim, is that Pryor can't even answer a question....he will be a lap dog in Hillary!s lap and if she can't bring herself to vote for Tim because of divorce God help her! We are judged by the leaders who represent us and I guantee that Mark Pryor doesn't only want to be a US Senator! And God help everyone who is of her like mind who might just be giving the first great stepping stone to giving us another tratorious, socialist candidate for President from AR.
