Somebody may have tried to contact them. My own personal belief is that it is not the sniper. Just my opinion.

I believe the terrorists are behind the sniping and someone else is trying to make some money ... and I hope I am wrong.

10-4 on the terrorists are the shooters. It will be interesting to see who the caller(s) turn out to be (you may be right on them also.)

I will be surprised if the police come up with the actual shooters (I won't dignify them with the tag "sniper.")

4X4 on the not dignifying them. They are ruthless, cold blooded murders and need to be captured, convicted and then executed swiftly IMHO, after we extract whatever info from them possible.

My guess is that they are afraid he is connected to the overall sniping plan and was trying to deflect the investigation. They'll hodl him until thay are sure that is not the case.

He's spent a lot of time in jail. Has anybody heard whether or not he converted while in jail?

I am extremely skeptical that any phone calls are occurring. Serial killers (or terrorists for that matter) do not negotiate demands with the police.

There's something else going on, but I highly doubt that these shootings are an extortion attempt. There are a lot of easier targets to extort than the government.
