Second Amendment Bump
While you're there, ask Talent how he'll vote when the AW & mag bans expire on September 13, 2004.

I don't think Talent will be there. During the just finished debate with Ma Carnahan, he defended himself (and his votes) against her anti-gun barrage.

I am going to be at the rally tomorrow. Talent won't be there but Heston and Wayne LaPierre will be. Chris Cox will be there and I hope I get a chance to ask him why something wasn't done about Korea in 1999 when his committee saw the report.

Please note that Heston, LaPierre, and Cox will be going from there to Milwaukee and will hold a rally for Gov. McCallum at 6:30 pm (Oct 22) at the Wisconsin Exposition Center, 8200 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis. See
this site for directions and details.

The Chris Cox that will be with Heston/La Piere in Joplin today is Executive Director of NRA-Institute of Legislative Action. Not the Congressman from Kali.

UPDATE on NRA Joplin rally:
Talent did make it-gave a wonderful speech. Promised to be there when we need him. He knows if he does make it, it will be through the considerable efforts of the NRA and gun-owners. Our votes DO make a difference!
In addition, Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Conrad Burns (R-MT) were there. Both gave short talks. Burns was a riot! Wonderful sense of humor! Yet, when on TV, he seems like a pre-1996 Bob Dole? Wayne LaPierre was there and Chris Cox and lawyer for NRA. All gave good talks. Wayne was on a roll! Excellant speech!
Short film on gun confiscation in Australia/England. A nightmare come true.
Lastly, Charlton Heston. Regret to say he seemed quite frail. Just not his usual self. Spoke for 5 minutes only. Received a loud, boisterous welcome and departure. He will see through to the end of his term-April 2003. Most expressed concerns about his health....
