If they haven't committed any crimes, we should send them to college and pay for their car inusrance.

You scrooge. What about their fillings and hip surgery?

My bad on the initial typo. FR Admin fixed it and it now correctly reads deported.

We need statesmen in office ... not politicians. I classify the former as individuals dedicated first to the Constitution and the welfare of this Republic ... I classify the latter as dedicated to themselves, their own agendas, ideologies, vices and sundry other commitments long before the Constitution and the nation.

One of the things I have always thought would be the first step to reversing this trend is to enact term limits. Politicians get bought by special interests and succumb to the power they can wield as elected officials. Term limits might help us elect more statesmen.

The argument to that is now in this society where you can get a fast-food meal in minutes, I am sure politicians can be bought much more quickly than before. Where it used to take years for special interests and greed to corrupt, I am sure this now happens as fast as one can get a Big Mac.

All politicians are bought and paid for. They should come gift-wrapped. Hmmm... Maybe Registered can do a graphic of some of our favorites decked out in different wrappings and bows like you would see at the gift-wrapping department of major stores.

It is truly disgusting that the Constitution and national security seem to be the least of their worries.

Don't forget letting them vote ... several times, getting them a nice driver's license and official identification, and then paying for all of the things you and Sabertooth mentioned ourselves.

[This may be off-subject to this thread, but I just wanted to rant. Not only do we let them in without any oversight, but we give them benefits the rest of us who pay taxes don't get.]

A little off topic - but then I think ranting about the illegals and their hidden and not so hidden costs to this nation is never off topic - it is the topic!!

Our daughter in law took our 3 year old grandson to the ER last night. He was having trouble breathing and running a high fever. He has severe allergies. They live in the country and they normally use a hospital that is in another town about 17 miles from their home. It just happens to also be the city/county, as well only hospital. She got there said the ER was filled with Mexicans and they told her it would be a 4 hour wait. She drove back the 17 miles, then 15 more to another town with a small Presbyterian Hospital and they took the baby right in. Lots of hidden costs.

I don't know where all these Mexicans in that area work, but a large percentage work for Pilgrim's Pride Poultry. We are paying for his worker's medical care, so he can 'create wealth'.

No ranting about this is all very ON-TOPIC!

It is a reflection of societal problem conditions of apathy, immorality and "entitlement".

But I believe it is turning and pray that the turning will continue and accelerate. Our enemies don't realize it yet, but if they keep up the attacks, the terror, etc. they will hasten it.

I pray and hope we can do it ourselves without more of that, but I believe these enemies will keep on coming anyway ... just like the fanatical Kamikazis of WW II my Dad told me about.

IMHO, the real problem is that we have no idea how many illegals are in this country, and we are doing little to stop the influx. Unless and until we make a real attempt to control our borders and deport ALL illegals, our situation will only get worse

When something horrible like this sniping situation occurs, nobody knows for starters if it's homegrown nuts or foreign terrorists. And, the US certainly has more that its share of psychos.

If illegals were deported whenever found and the borders were shut tight to new permanent residents, that would be one less source of maniacs who commit crimes like this. Then, the police could focus on citizens who are more of a known quantity.

So, even if the sniper(s) are born and raised in the US of A, it still increases the ability of law enforcement to respond if the government does its job with regard to the borders and illegals.

EARTH CALLING ADMINISTRATION...

CLOSE THE BORDERS AND DEPORT ILLEGALS, NOW!!!!

After their experience with the SWAT team this morning, these guys are probably already halfway to Acapulco.

Don't kid yourself. Being busted by a US SWAT team is MUCH prefered to being busted by the Mexican police.

[(unlike the Mexicans who sneak across and do the menial jobs the average suburban teenager is too "proud" to take).]

Yes, all those lazy US workers these poor people doing menial jobs are all replacing.

Of course, let's don't say anything about the construction workers, heavy equipment operators, and other workers they are replacing. You know those US citizens who have to make a little more because they have those responsibilities like taxes, medical expenses, insurance, etc. You know the things we taxpayers are paying for these hardworking people (just doing menial jobs) and for some of the displaced US workers also.

"based on the report about the Mom who saw them parked in a school parking lot and then called 911 ..." <

Yes I saw that in passing but I couldn't tell if that was peripheral information that had no relationship to the arrest, or was what resulted in the arrest.

"Now they'll be heading south. "

The same direction that the rest of them that are here illegally should be heading.

It a whole lot cheaper to deport them than to put them in our prisons!

While listening to them try to get admitted, I was full of compassion (yeah, we conservatives do feel that). I remembered that I didn't have insurance when my two chilkdren were born because we were self-employed and couldn't afford it. I had to pay up front before being admitted to the hospital, and I was out collecting money owed to us the morning my water broke.

It was a scary time and when I saw this young Hispanic couple who didn't seem to have much, I was seriously thinking about giving them the $100 bill I have kept hidden in my billfold for years against the day I might need it. When they said they had Medicaide, I knew I had already given them enough.

I hope your grandson is getting better. :-)

You're wrong. It even goes beyond we are not doing ANYTHING to stop them, and all the way to we are encouraging more to come by telling them we are going to give them amnesty.

Bubba-2 Bush is NOT a friend to conservatives any more than Goober Gore and the DNC are.

Entitlement is the real enemy to our country, from the ones who think those of us who work owe them a subsistence, to the Al Gores who think that because they were raised and groomed to be president, we should give it to them.

I hope and pray also that the people of this country are waking up and realizing that we have these freedoms because many fought to keep us free. It is now our turn to protect this precious republic.

I agree, all illegals should be deported.

Unfortunately, there are millions and millions now and there is going to be hell to pay to restore things. Better now than later IMHO though.

Folks don't want to hear that, and really don't want to look hard at what it will take, or what the conequences will be because it probably means insurrection and out and out fighting.

But, we delay at all of our peril, to our way of life and our liberty IMHO.

If they can't, there are hundreds working for a lawn company and a paving company about 1/4 mile from where their van was towed to.

What do you want to bet that says they won't be allowed to call relatives to come pick up their van before they are deported? Relatives who won't be asked for proof of citizenship?

This is what happens when the liberal mindset enters law enforcement. Just put the damn cameras and mikes away untill someone is in jail with a pile of evedence on top of them. Then hold a press confernce.

10-4 to that ... and we'd best be about it in every way we can. Educate, inform, communicate and yes, srand up and protest. I can personally testify, despite the risks, it is worht it.

And there is One on High who will support us in this fight for the rights that He, the Creator, endowed on us all IMHO.
