I agree BUT think the O'Dell woman is a bad example of Home Schooling. Unschooling IMHO is something that most parents do not have the background or ability to accomplish without a LOT of work on the part of the parents. The folks I knew who unschooled were generally handling kids with learning disabilities that did not have the attention span to handle a formal program.

The downside was a few real nutters who used unschooling as an excuse to avoid teaching their kids anything useful. THESE are the ones people remember, kind of like liberals seeing toothless inbred folks in cammo when they see anything related to guns. And this will make it more difficult for HS parents who unschool to have their efforts be looked at as viable by society. And Cindy Wade sounds downright unreliable., Is she a lawyer or paralegal? What are her credentials for giving out legal advice?
