I think they're saying they should be used for target practice- for the "higher principles at stake."
Personally, I think I'll sit this one out. What's a few days or weeks it takes to catch these nuts compared to a lifetime (or the loss of one)?

I would ask my wife to be aware of her surroundings and to make sure that she and the kids don't take unnecessary risks, i.e. getting gas near an expressway. Other than that, I would expect them to go about their lives like any other day.
