CNN reported short while ago that authorities told them that they are 70% of the way closing this case. If so, then they are incredibly irresponsible for reporting it. That's the very type of statement that motivates this killer to strike again!

Yeah, I can't believe anyone would pay that much here. You can get 'em cheaper at the tobacco shop about a block down Broad street.
:-)

I can see a Mexican saying "Dear Mr. Policeman"
To: KsSunflower
It looked like, to the right of and along the bottom edge of that Mexico sticker, there was another striped, flag-looking sticker that had the same colors, but reversed and horizontal, not vertical like the Mexican flag. The flag is part of a larger Mexican Pride type sticker. The flag emblem is on the left hand side, with the colors on the bottom and some other words or something above it. As I said, I recognized that sticker immediately because so many Mexicans have it on their vehicles around here. Don't confuse the colors on the bottom with another flag. It is just like bumper stickers Americans have with the red-white-blue color schemes; the colors are there, but it shouldn't be confused with the French colors that happen to be the same.

I can just see the founding fathers now, gathered around the Declaration of Independence. I'd be a lot more impressed by your manly post if you weren't typing it 1000+ miles from the action.

The security around the judicial center where the suspects are being held sure make you think that they are concerned about other members of this group being out there.
Or...are they just trying to keep the media from decending on the building. Terrorists...media...it's just so difficult to tell.

CNN reported short while ago that authorities told them that they are 70% of the way closing this case.
Does this mean they got 2 of the 3 sniper team?
That would only be 67%

Having lived in Portland where Moose used to be the Chief, I can just about guarantee you that Moose would have body-blocked anyone who attempted to get ahead of him to be the official spokesperson.
As to his family being in danger, Moose got a LOT of media coverage in Portland for buying a home in a very dangerous part of Portland and moving he and his family into that house. So I would question how concerned he is for his family.
Moose is a loose cannon imo.

It's amazing to see how much the "news" is about what they don't know yet.
Sample possible dialog: "We don't know if he was dialing the phone, or if indeed, he was using a calling card. He may have been dialing even numbers, or odd numbers, or a combination of all three. We have no information as of yet if he had indeed dialed a "1". We have here a communications expert, who will tell us about ten-digit dialing"
Sample REAL dialogue:
Ari Fleischer: "....More than one arrest"
News anchor: "Ari Fleischer has indicated there is more than one arrest"

Naw, just a proud American who would rather go down living my life, defying those who would impinge my freedoms, than cower in my home waiting for the nanny government to make it all better.
Nothing but name calling. People call names and advocate illogical responses when faced with hysteria. Never expected to see so much of it here though.
To: KsSunflower
Yes this doesn't make sense at all. Whoever has been doing all this is very sharp and clever, and to think he(they) would murder all these people and weave such and elaborate and frightening mystery just to demand money at a steakhouse? Nah. No way. Whatever the purpose of all this terror is, I can't believe it's for money.

That will explain why they shut the schools down Just what I was trying to post. Then something about a white van at a school that was later picked up?
Wonder if there is a major threat, demand or whatever.

I do think the authorities could at least release the facts about Sat. shooting, IF the bullet was a match or not. Would ease some anxiety about copycats, or additional shooters, IMO.

NRA and USMC stickers are surprisingly similar, especially from any distance, so one could be being mistaken for the other quite easily. Right you are, sir.

That will explain why they shut the schools down That's what I figured yesterday. Looks like they wanted to avoid a hostage situation.
