You gave us a number last night. We do want to talk to you. Call us at the number you provided.

Spokesperson..."I cannot explain it to you it is part of the investigation"...the person will understand it.

The person who left the message is who the chief is trying to communicate with..."To the person who left us a message at the Ponderosa last night...we do want to talk with you, please call the number that you provided"...
