I want to see some raids on the known 6 terrorists cells around DC within a few miles of most of the shootings. Just look for 223 guns and white trucks, if they find any, start asking really serious questions. If and when LE do this, we'll know from the crys of violated rights from the right.

Part of the thing that has Moose and everyone else is that this case perplexed is that this doesn't fit nicely into existing templates. The rash of shootings in Rockville/Wheaton, with the subsequent movement onto other areas, gives the impression of a nut in that area who is now trying to throw the authorities off (Remember, there was a 9/14 shooting in that area that may be related).

OTOH, If this is a serial, he sure feels comfortable working outside of his comfort zone (VA shootings). This points to possibility of a 2nd perp possibly centered in Spotsylvania/Fredricksburg area. Nature of shootings also points toward sniper and spotter/driver pair. If these were a couple of Klebolds on the rampage someone would have bragged to a woman or the guys at the range about it by now.

Finally, just about any serial killer has some kind of issues and this should influence the target choice: couples on dates, prostitutes, gays, or a racial type. May not be AQ but so far this is very professional.
