Two floors of the 19-story Atwood Building were evacuated Thursday morning after a man parked his blue Mercedes near the building's entrance, doused the car with gasoline and set it ablaze.

No, you don't know that. He could be a much more loving and a much better parent than you'll ever be. I doubt it. I've been married 26 years with two grown sons who, as police officers, see clowns like this beat up women and children EVERY DAY.
What kind of idiot burns up his OWN CAR?

Department of Revenue???
With a name like that, you figure they'll get the money anyway they can.
And you might well ask what legitimate interest the state Department of Revenue has in a private question like child support. That would be an extremely intelligent question. The answer is, the state is not acting within its legitimate interests and powers.

"What kind of idiot burns up his OWN CAR? "
What kind of idiots fire upon Government troops trying to sieze an arsenal of weapons?

Incomprehensible choice of hero. choice of hero.
Incomprehensible comment 2. Are you going for the record the simple way?
To: sinkspur
"pity party" - I like that, that's funny sinkspur

There is no information suggesting that he beat his wife or children. You might want fathers to be abused by the system, but there is no information at this time supporting your personal attacks against one of its victims.

Ah yes the old Johnny Carson joke
"The difference between divorce and legal separation is that a legal separation gives a husband time to hide his money."

So if the deadbeat had torched two cars would be cheering him on twice as strongly?

So your view of the world is based on old Johnny Carson jokes? That's not the topic.

Excellent post.

The dog shat in his cage. What a psychotic deadbeat scumbag stupid dog.

I think it would be better for many fathers to at least as effectively, or more effectively protest against corruption in the courts, state legislatures, and Congress. No man should have to sacrifice more than one car himself.

What kind of idiots fire upon Government troops trying to sieze an arsenal of weapons? What kind of idiot attempts to draw moral equivalence where none exists?
Were the government troops trying to enforce child support payments?
What the hell are you talking about?
To: RogerFGay
Doesn't change the fact that torching your car is ineffective and a stupid form of protest.

Judging from the photo, it is a coupe, not a sedan (don't see a second set of doors at the far left of the photo), and assumig it's exactly 20 years old, and the lowest model Mercedes coupe of the 1982 model year, the 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Coupe, with a 5 cyl. turbo diesel, automatic transmission, and 75,000 miles on it, in the Anchorage zip code of 99501, in good condition, the trade-in value is $1,750, according to the Blue Book calculator at

You might want fathers to be abused by the system,There's no evidence he was abused by the system, only that he burned his car and chained himself to a tree or something. He thinks he was abused by the system, but, then, a lot of folks on Free Republic think they're abused by the system because they've got to pay income taxes.
If you think you've been abused by the system, then learn your lesson and don't get married and father children again.
Everybody will be better off.

I wonder how many men on this thread who are married would say whether or not they would do it again considering the current legal climate in America?
I know that it is unconventional to be against the institution of marriage, but right now, I just dont know why anyone would take such a risk, when they dont really have to?
