The situation is reversed in North Carolina, where Republican Elizabeth Dole said no.. What's up with Liddy? She's done 2 debates here in NC in the last week or so and is calling for more. Is this accurate? I know she's been on with Russert before, is this personal?

I think it's smart thinking for Mrs. Dole to keep her state debates local and not hit the national media circuit. The media will try to trip her up, make her look mean spirited, and do their usual ax job on any conservative candidate, and who needs the unfavorable face time at the end of a state's election campaign just a week or so from the vote?

Anyone catch Meet The Press, did Timmy mention that the Lutenberg camp refuses to come on the show?
