G, i'm not too bad at readin' faces,
and i gotta disagree, or at least offer that he didn't look 'hard' to me.
he looked waaaay worried, ie they may *finally* have a break (witness) on the
horizon, and he *really* doesn't want 'em to get spooked.

consider the fear a potential witness would have of a personal jihad being levelled at 'em if word got out they fingered the shooter ...

Well, Moose may have a hard time looking hard (errr...well...anyhow), but he looked the "hardest" I've seen. He was short and sweet and to the point...he didn't say please, he didn't elaborate, nor did he offer any reassurance. IF it is a witness, perhaps he didn't want the sniper to have any more info than that. I don't think it was to a witness, though. I believe it's to the sniper or a cohort of the sniper.

We're talking some big bucks on a tip that would lead to the arrest and capture of these guys but no doubt he would want some protection if he was the only witness.

Think about it. The media makes every witness vulnerable. If you go running up to the cops right after and the cameras catch you, etc.. Damn right I'd cover my butt if I saw the shooter .

Take some ibuprofen and stop listening to the new conferences. I said last night I'm not going to listen again until Moose says,

"We have arrested the alleged shooter, he has sustained injuries...we aren't sure how...the doctors are removing the bullet with pliars as we speak. Next question?"

"No, he wasn't given any anesthesia."

We'll have another press conference in a half hour, or maybe, tomorrow."

you may well be right - this isn't one of the things that's caused my radar to go berserk.
at the same time, i don't see anything in what we know so far that makes this event point away from the terr angle ...
