"That's not standing up, that's being a jerk."

Why is that being a jerk?

At what point do I have the "right" to require a legal warrant?

I am not a suspect, my weapon is not a suspect, no one has been seen running into my house carrying a smoking .223. I doubt that any of my neighbors even know I have one. There is absolutely no "probable cause" to bother me at all.

If there were a serial rapist in your state, would you expect to be DNA tested simply because you have the same type "weapon" as the rapist?

Would you allow your hard drive to be searched because "somebody" was sending threatening email?

I wonder, are you one of those people who can flash a badge and say "member of the force" when pulled over?

My uncle tried that once. He flashed his badge after getting pulled over for speeding in an out of state jurisdiction. What he got for his trouble was a half-hour long berating by his fellow police officer in front of the rest of us and a fat ticket. LOL.

You're free to demand a warrant while people die.

I am not a suspect, my weapon is not a suspect

Then help narrow the search. Or just act like a jerk.

It's your choice.
