Al Qaeda never does something small.

...even when they're dead wrong, they sound so sure of themselves, don't they?

I suppose blowing up five people in a synagogue in Tunisia, or three people on a bus in the Phillipines is big time, spectacular stuff.

The sniper shootings have received more coverage than anything AQ has done since 9/11. Tell me again why it can't be them.

I think you've hit the nail on the head.

You're right, WarSlut. Steven Emerson's book Jihad in America outlined several incidents where terrorists killed one or two people in this country. If that's the contribution that can be made by an extremist or a cell, that's enough to donate to the "cause". Also, remember the Arab who took out 3 people at the CIA several years ago? That was clearly terrorism - but he only killed three.

I'm not saying it can't be AQ. I think it's either them, or Hamas or maybe even some of our own working for foreign terrorists, or maybe a group not yet identified. I never said it can't be AQ though.
